The Shop at NBC Studios is the home base for the Tour at NBC Studios and will be the brand new NBC retail location, opening October 1st. The Tour at NBC Studios has been re-imagined to provide an all new, exclusive experience live from 30 Rockefeller Plaza, one of the most iconic buildings in entertainment history. Guests will enjoy behind the scenes access to the studios of their favorite NBC programs, including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, Late Night with Seth Meyers, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt and more. The Tour at NBC Studios will operate daily from legendary 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the birthplace of television broadcasting, starting October 26th, 2015. In addition to exclusive access to the famed studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, guests will learn about the TV production process - from writing and producing to the innovative ways TV content is distributed to viewers. Guests will interact with the entire production process first hand as they produce and star in their own television segment that will be available for digital download following the tour.

The CBS Building in New York City, also known as Black Rock, is the headquarters of CBS Corporation. Located at 51 West 52nd Street at the corner of Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas), the Eero Saarinen-designed building opened in 1965. It is 38 stories and 490ft tall with approximately 872000sqft rentable of space. The interior and furnishings were designed by Saarinen and Florence Knoll.BackgroundThe building was the result of intricate planning between Eero Saarinen and CBS's then-president, Frank Stanton. Its concrete structural system was developed by Mario Salvadori. Unlike some major skyscrapers built in that section of midtown Manhattan during the 1950s and 60s, its pillars are more dominant than its windows. It received its nickname "Black Rock" for its dark granite cladding.The company moved to its new headquarters from longterm lease space at 485 Madison Avenue at 52nd Street.
