Through careful screening of loan applicants and creative loan structuring, the "gap financing" program can get business owners closer to their goal by supplementing private financing of working capital, fixed machinery and equipment, soft costs and new or rehabilitated buildings. The SDRRLF area includes businesses in the Cities of San Diego and Chula Vista while the SBMRLF only includes businesses in the City of San Diego.

San Diego City College has a rich history of activism, community engagement, and cultural diversity. The Associated Students are those that attend SDCC and choose to stand together with their fellow classmates to learn in and out of the classroom. The Associated Students Government works hard to encourage and facilitate that unity.
