Hello and welcome to the first building ever built in Morrison. We are a lovely bed and breakfast in the heart of Colorado, mere seconds from Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. Nestled in a peaceful and serene gated enclave featuring natural and manicured gardens, the Lodge is within walking distance of many of the best attractions and restaurants the city has to offer, as well as driving distance to nearby ski areas. The private and themed cottages surround the mansion on the property. Each non-smoking cottage captures the charm of the past with modern amenities, including indoor Jacuzzis or private outdoor hot tubs. The town founder, George Morrison originally built the mansion in 1873 as his private residence. In 1895 it became The Cliff House Lodge, and it now stands as one of the oldest remaining structures in Morrison, Colorado. The National Register of Historic Places accepted most of the town as a historic district in 1976. We welcome the opportunity to give you a tour of the Cliff House Lodge and cottages, as well as viewing the art work by Keith "Scramble" Campbell. His work is displayed throughout the mansion and the Stone Street cottage, and is featured at the Visitor's Center at Red Rocks and The Blue Cow Cafe. Bear Creek State Park also has archery, horseback riding and fishing, with miles of hiking and biking trails. Catch a race at Bandimere Speedway or Thunder Valley Motocross. Explore Morrison Natural History Museum and Dinosaur Ridge. If you're looking for outdoor thrills, book a trip down Clear Creek with Geo Tours and Whitewater Rafting.
