The John Anson Ford Theatres complex is situated in the Cahuenga Pass in Hollywood and consists of a 1,200-seat, outdoor amphitheatre. Located in a County regional park, the facility is owned and operated by the County of Los Angeles through a three-way partnership between the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation and the Ford Theatre Foundation.HistoryJohn Anson Ford Amphitheatre was built in 1920 as the site of The Pilgrimage Play. The author, Christine Wetherill Stevenson, believed the rugged beauty of the Cahuenga Pass would provide a dramatic outdoor setting for the play. Together with Mrs. Chauncey D. Clark, she purchased the land along with that on which the Hollywood Bowl now sits. A wooden, outdoor amphitheatre was built on the site and the play was performed by noted actors every summer from 1920 to 1929, until the original structure was destroyed by a brush fire in October 1929.The present theatre, constructed of poured concrete and designed in the style of ancient Judaic architecture to resemble the gates of Jerusalem, was built on the same site and opened in 1931. The Pilgrimage Play was again performed there until 1964, interrupted only by World War II. In 1941 the land was deeded to the County of Los Angeles. The Pilgrimage Play continued to be presented until a lawsuit in 1964 forced its closure because of its religious nature.
The Lounge Theatre is located at 6201 Santa Monica Blvd @ El Centro just one block east of Vine. The Lounge is a completely renovated 2-theatre arts complex. We have one 49-seat space and one 46-seat space, each with their own dressing room, entrance and separate A/C units. Our space is unique in that we offer a 1/2 kitchen, 2 patron restrooms, and a huge lounge & lobby area where guests can network on our comfortable couches while enjoying beverages before or after the show. This cool underground club is hidden in plain sight, right across the street from Paramount Studios and just around the corner from Astroburger on Melrose Avenue at Gower Street. There is no sign, and you have to enter through the back entrance after walking halfway down the block through the alley. Look for the green door surrounded by show flyers, with "AMPLYFI" written in small black letters. The club is the brainchild of the noted singer-songwriter Kota, who, at age 19, opened the intimate venue in January 2011, converting her private rehearsal studio into a public, all-ages performance space. Evoking Hollywood's storied underground music clubs, the cozy venue (with a capacity of 70 people) feels like a hip living room decorated with colorful Pop Art, lava lamps, gold records, mannequins and vintage photos of Jane Fonda. Professional lighting and a good sound system make Amplyfi feel like a real nightclub without losing the charm of its DIY setting. Kota presents a wide range of singer-songwriters, indie-pop musicians and hard rockers, and she sometimes jumps onstage herself. The Hollywood Studio Club was a chaperoned dormitory, sometimes referred to as a sorority, for young women involved in the motion picture business from 1916 to 1975. Located in the heart of Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, the Studio Club was run by the YWCA and housed some 10,000 women during its 59-year existence. It was the home at various times to many Hollywood celebrities, including Marilyn Monroe, Ayn Rand, Donna Reed, Kim Novak, Maureen O'Sullivan, Rita Moreno, Barbara Eden, and Sharon Tate. The building was designed by noted California architect Julia Morgan in the Italian Renaissance Revival architectural style, who also designed Hearst Castle. The Studio Club closed in 1975, and the building was used as a YWCA-run Job Corps dormitory until April 30, 2012. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and remains the property of the YWCA Greater Los Angeles.

Raji's was a rock and roll nightclub in central Hollywood, open in the 1980s and early 1990s. It was located in the Hastings Hotel building, 6162 Hollywood Blvd. The space had previously been occupied by a Greek restaurant called The King's Palace. It was one of the great sweaty, smoke-filled 'dives' of rock. It featured performances by iconic bands such as Green Day, Guns N' Roses, Redd Kross, Hole, Jane's Addiction, Arab and The Suburban Turbans, Dream Syndicate, The Lonesome Strangers, Snake Farm, The Billy Bremner Band, The Little Kings, The Shades, Tex & the Horseheads, Lock-Up, Mary's Danish, The Miracle Workers, Social Distortion, The Electric Ferrets, the Mentors, GG Allin, The Nymphs, and Los Lobos, as well as out-of-town acts like Nirvana, Pink Fairies, Pussy Galore, Mod Fun and Kyuss. JEZZABELL DORAN: Jezzabell Doran is a singer/model/actress from Sydney Australia. She is featured on Flume’s hit single “Sleepless” and is currently working on her debut album. PAUL HARRIS: Paul Harris is a DJ artist, writer, producer, and remixer based in South London, whose career began at the early age of 16 as a DJ, building a loyal cult following spinning at legendary London clubs like Milk Bar and Ministry of Sound during the mid 90s. He is best known for his Grammy-winning dance music band Dirty Vegas, whose debut hit “Days Go By” became one of the most requested tracks on American radio and lead to numerous awards, including a Grammy for Best Dance Single. Paul’s production and remix credits include work with Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Fatboy Slim, Richard “Biff” Standard, Karen Poole, Makeba Riddick, Gary Clark, Kish Mauve, Andy Chatterly, Ladyhawke, Blondefire, Lorie, and Jay P, having released a slew of tracks under various guises. Most recently, Paul has been working with Mr Hudson on the BIGKids album and writing with new artist Jetta. TRACKLACERS: Tracklacers are the Grammy nominated producing and songwriting duo of Steve Daly and John Keep, based equally in London and Los Angeles. Their unique and outrageous pop sound has led them to collaborate with international superstars like Cher, Sir Paul McCartney, Chris Martin and Robbie Williams. Recently, the duo has worked with artists such as Pink, Christina Aguilera, Lana Del Rey, The Saturdays, Afrojack, and Danja.
