The Boston Garden was an arena in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Designed by boxing promoter Tex Rickard, who also built the third iteration of New York's Madison Square Garden, it opened on November 17, 1928 as "Boston Madison Square Garden" (later shortened to just "Boston Garden") and outlived its original namesake by 30 years. Located on top of North Station, a train station which was originally a hub for the Boston and Maine Railroad and is now a hub for MBTA Commuter Rail and Amtrak trains, the Garden hosted home games for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA), as well as rock concerts, amateur sports, boxing and professional wrestling cards, circuses, and ice shows. It was also used as an exposition hall for political rallies such as the speech by John F. Kennedy in November 1960. Boston Garden was demolished in 1998, three years after the completion of its new successor arena, the FleetCenter, which is now known as TD Garden.

Armenian Heritage Park welcomes all in celebration of the immigrant experience. The Park graces the public space with design features to engage all ages: Abstract Sculpture, a split dodecahedron, commemorates the immigrant experience. Annually, the Sculpture is reconfigured symbolic of all who were pulled apart from their country of origin and came to these Massachusetts shores, establishing themselves in new and different ways. The Sculpture sits atop a Reflecting Pool; its waters wash over its sides and re-emerge as a single jet of water at the Labyrinth's center. The Sculpture is dedicated to lives lost during the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923 and all genocides that have followed. Labyrinth, a circular winding path paved in grass and inlaid stone, celebrates life's journey. A single jet of water marks its center, representing hope and rebirth. Art, Service, Science and Commerce are etched around its circle in tribute to accomplishments and contributions made to American life and culture. This is the only Labyrinth on public land in the Northeast. Armenian Heritage Park and its Abstract Sculpture and Labyrinth are recognized as Public Art. At the crossroads of resident, business and tourist footpaths, the Park is between Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Christopher Columbus Park. Armenian Heritage Park and its endowed public programs including the Annual Reconfiguration of the Abstract Sculpture, the Najarian Lecture on Human Rights at Faneuil Hall and the Park’s ongoing care is a gift to the City of Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from Armenian-Americans. On October 23, 1983, jihadist terrorists launched their war on America by attacking the Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. A suicide bomber drove a truck filled with 12,000 pounds of explosives into a U.S. Marine Corps barracks at the Beirut International Airport. The explosion killed 220 Marines, 18 sailors and 3 soldiers. Nine of those brave Marines were sons of Massachusetts. The war begun that Sunday morning continues today. Many years have passed. Many more Americans have fallen. But those nine Massachusetts warriors have never been forgotten. They are remembered and prayed for by those who loved them each and every day. And on a cool and quiet Sunday morning every October, they are honored at a special and sacred place in the City of Boston. The Massachusetts Beirut Memorial, located in Christopher Columbus Park, was first dedicated in 1992. Since then, it has served as a place for quiet reflection and thoughtful remembrance for families, friends and those who served with these nine local heroes. Just as importantly, it stands as a reminder to all of us that young Americans continue to serve in harm’s way and, if called upon, will make the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Together, we can put them on the path for a successful future! Walk, run, or race with family and friends. This is a timed event with three rest stops along the way up. You don't need to be an athlete to climb; in fact, you'll be surprised how quickly you can get up the 46 floors of One International Place knowing that you're helping children and families! Each climber is required to raise a minimum of $100 by the day of the event. Why Do We Climb? To show that children’s mental health matters. By climbing, we support children and families struggling to overcome obstacles to health development. Many carry the weight of the world on their shoulders, creating barriers to success. If you choose to join the Weight of the World division and wear a weighted backpack, you too can experience the heaviness of their lives so they don’t have to.

BRIDGING THE GAPS – What is an “Access Incubator”? Building upon “legal incubator” models developed by several law schools across the nation, Justice Bridge has taken the training and support services offered by such programs to the next level. By building relationships with top law firms, retired justices and former senior partners, legal service organizations, and membership-based community groups Justice Bridge assists participating attorneys to provide compassionate and professional representation to those with previously unmet legal needs. The incubator is a non-profit organization that will provide office space, resources and client referrals to new attorneys to help meet two important objectives: o Provide low-bono (reduced-fee) service, scaled to the income of clients struggling to access legal services and pro bono services to those who qualify but are struggling to find available attorneys at other legal aid organizations. o Mentor and train new attorneys to give them a comprehensive edge in the job market or become skilled enough to manage their own practices when they leave the incubator. With these goals in mind, Justice Bridge is developing an economically self-sufficient legal center to serve poor and modest-means clients and a resource hub to serve the Boston legal community. Justice Bridge is building relationships and working with the legal services community, pro bono service organizations, anti-poverty community organizations, Boston-area bar associations and public librarian groups to determine how best to deliver legal services. BUILDING LAWYERS – More Than a Job The mentors in Justice Bridge train new lawyers so they are not only able to take charge of a case, but also ultimately capable of managing an independent practice. Attorneys who complete a two-year program in the Justice Bridge program will advance into the workforce with a competitive edge crucial for success in today’s legal marketplace. PURSUE JUSTICE
