The cornerstone of the establishment is a massive coal-fired oven (nearly 10 feet wide) that will glow with a combination of dancing gas flames and red hot coal that will be highly visible both inside and outside of the restaurant. This will provide an incredible backdrop for our exhibition-style kitchen, which in essence, will provide dinner and a show. The nearly 1,200 degree oven will allow us to prepare unique menu items targeted at today’s more savvy diner that’s not only looking for great flavors, but also the high nutritional value required to fuel today’s busy professional.

BakeWorks is a division of Black Hills Works which supports employment of individuals of all abilities. This scratch bakery offers a variety of breads, pastries, sweets, coffee, breakfast, and lunch options. And on top of all of that we're home to the brightest smiles in the Black Hills!

The Blind Lion Speakeasy, located in a top secret location in downtown Rapid City, rolls back the clock and delivers the most unique nightlife experience in the Black Hills. Our passion is expressed through labor-intensive, hand-crafted cocktails where the juice is squeezed fresh for each order & the ice carved from a sculptured block. We also showcase the most cutting edge cooking methods, which includes using cold smoking & liquid nitrogen table side.
