Description of Condo This is a one bedroom, one and a half bath condominium in the Doral tower that sleeps six. The master bed room has a king bed with adjoining full bath and a flat screen T.V. There are bunks in the hall (kids love them as their own private area), and a new queen sleeper sofa in the living room. There are ceramic tile floors throughout the condo, including on the balcony. The kitchen is fully stocked and has beautiful granite tops and a large step up eat-on bar for light meals, sandwiches and snacks. There is a 4 place dining table which matches the bar stools. The washer and dryer is next to the kitchen in a separate closet. The living room has a 50”flat screen T.V. that is viewable from the kitchen and bar. Along with the sofa, there are two very comfortable matching swivel glider chairs for reading or watching T.V. There is satellite T.V. that includes plenty of family viewing, and Wi-Fi in the condo and throughout the complex. When you pull the drapes back fully, you will expose the floor to ceiling glass wall that really “brings the outside in”! When you step out onto the private balcony, you will experience the wonderful 10th floor views of the Gulf of Mexico, with its sea life and sounds. What a place to have breakfast and coffee to greet the morning, read and nap on the lounger, or enjoy a relaxing drink as the afternoon sun brings a warm glow to the western sky. When you walk out the beachside doors from the Lobby, Doral tower has its own pool, sun bathing area and heated whirlpool in a beautifully landscaped area. You may also use any pool or hot tub along the promenade that connects the buildings and leads to the beach walkways. Many folks use the long promenade for their morning walk or jog. The Club area in the center includes the Clubhouse and the very large Club pool. The Club pool features the Tiki Bar, poolside food service from the grille, children’s activities, towel service and weekend live music. The Clubhouse has a large indoor heated pool, modern exercise room and small game room for the kids. Old Fort Morgan is at the end of the peninsula (about 6 miles). There is a small charge for access. The Dauphin Island Ferry is next to the Fort. For a round trip fee (approximately $20-$35 depending on how many riders) you can ferry your vehicle across Mobile Bay and spend the day on Dauphin Island. There are public beaches, a small sea life museum, Dauphin Island Fort, shops and Restaurants.
