We'll guide you step-by-step through the painting, offering eats, wine, & beer to keep your inner artist inspired (you do have one, we promise). When we're done, your masterpiece is yours to keep! Jewel is a LIVE MUSIC VENUE, featuring one of the area's best sound & light systems. Recently, Jewel underwent a CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP, and has made several key changes, with many more to come. Many people know Jewel as either a Nightclub or a Hard Rock & Metal Music Venue. But Jewel is now much more than that. Check our Event Page and you will see a wide variety of musical genres including Rock, Reggae, R&B, Soul, Folk, Blues, Americana, Roots, Pop, and even Comedy! Oh, and yes... of course, we will still have heavy rock and metal acts as well. Jewel will pride itself in welcoming all genres of music and all people from the community and surrounding areas. Jewel offers a full bar and will soon be offering a casual menu of light fare from our own kitchen. Jewel's number one priority is the safety and enjoyment of all our guests, while adhering to state & local laws and liquor commission regulations. Opened in November 2005, the Shaskeen was the creation of traditional Irish musician and pub owner, Tommy McCarthy, and world renowned flautist of the Chieftains, Matt Molloy. Bringing together the traditional Irish concepts of public houses, food and music under one roof, the Shaskeen follows a lineage of grea Irish pubs established by Tommy and Matt, such as the Burren, the Skellig, and Matt Molloy's. Today, with their over 40 years of combined restaurant and bar experience, new owners Josh Ames, Jim Pliakos, Neal Brown and Michael Graton strive to make sure the traditional Irish concept stays alive, while adding modern touches to the food, beverage, and music aspects. In doing so, the Shaskeen has made itself into Manchester's best live music and comedy venue.
