We are in the business of creating memories. We set the table, pour the drinks and keep the lights on for you until those fresh first hours of the morning. We wait for you, we wait on you. We are here when you want us. We are here when you need us. We’ll pick you up, put you under, and occasionally throw your ass out when you’ve had a little much. We’re here because we want you around.
Family-owned Tee Pee Mexican Food has been serving the Valley since 1958 – the bar/restaurant is located in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. The Tee Pee was started by Tony and Anna Duran. Tony bar-tended while Anna did the cooking. During the late 1970’s their daughter Kathy and son-in-law Zip started to run the family business. Now they are the owners and are teaching their children, Jefe and Julianna, to run the business. You can always find a family member at the Tee Pee – your server is probably a niece or nephew. You will always be greeted at the door by a friendly face. Our Manager, Shannon, started out bar backing in the late 1980’s and Tony Duran III is also following in the footsteps of the family tradition. We are all family at the Tee Pee! The Tee Pee is nothing fancy. Like others in Phoenix it has often been referred to as a mom & pop restaurant. We serve our meals with paper napkins while you relax in one of our original booths. Some of our customers have been eating here for four generations and we wouldn’t have it any other way! While you are waiting for your table you can browse the walls of fame. We have had many famous visitors come to our restaurant. President Bush and Willard Scott from the Today Show have been our guests, not to mention a great number of famous sports athletes and movie stars. Be it a famed celebrity or a local community hero, you never know who you might be sitting next to! We serve authentic Mexican food. The recipes have been in the family for years. We serve all your traditional favorites such as beef and green corn tamales, albondigas soup, and the George W. Bush’s favorite: cheese enchiladas. We are famous for our chili rellenos which are like an egg soufflé. All of our food is homemade and prepared fresh daily. See our Menus page for a full list of our specialties. We also offer delicious party trays and for your larger events we can provide full service catering.
Our signature bar wraps around outside to the inviting patio that offers stunning views of Camelback Mountain, plenty of lounge seating and dining tables, the soothing sounds of falling water mixed with the sweet aromas from the wood fired grill making it the perfect place to gather with friends and family. We are housed in a refurbished service station, a community landmark since the 1960s, and many of the design elements of the original structure still remain throughout the restaurant. Designed, owned and operated by locals, Kitchen 56 strives to provide, not a concept, but an authentic enjoyable experience in a comfortable atmosphere with great food, cold drinks and your favorite people.

The A.T. Oasis Coffee and Tea Shop was founded in 2013 by owner Aisha Tedros. Aisha, from Eritrea, just north of Ethiopia, envisioned a neighborhood gathering place where people could experience both the rich flavors and beautiful traditions of Ethiopian coffee. Aisha opened A.T. Oasis after nine successful years in the restaurant service industry. She had always been interested in the coffee industry and didn’t want to give up the opportunity to meet new people every day. A coffee shop offered the best of both worlds. A.T. Oasis is the only coffee shop in central Phoenix that offers customers a traditional Eritrean coffee ceremony. Aisha buys all-natural green coffee beans directly from Ethiopian farmers and roasts them locally in the Phoenix valley. A.T. Oasis also sells the beans to many local and regional coffee shops. The tea offered at A.T. Oasis comes from all over the world as well, including east Africa and Morocco. The shop’s signature chai showcases all-natural spices imported from Eritrea, Ethiopia and around the world. The same spices are used in all of the homemade food served at A.T. Oasis, from the sambusas to full mudammas, in which only fresh ingredients are used. For Aisha, a neighborhood coffee shop is a way she can give back to her adopted country. It’s why she pours her heart and soul into each and every cup.

Incorporating the refined culinary influences of Los Angeles, New York and London, Chestnut Fine Foods and Provisions offers a casual, handcrafted farm-to-table dining experience in the vibrant Camelback Corridor. Originally opened under the moniker Chestnut Lane in 2009, the eatery quickly found success and a loyal following with its from-scratch breakfast and lunch dishes made with premium local ingredients. A critical and popular favorite, Chestnut Lane was forced to shutter its doors in the fall of 2010 despite its popularity. Now, Chestnut returns with original fan favorites like the lobster Cobb, kale salad and chocolate chip cookies and enticing additions including first-rate artisan pastries, an innovative and hassle-free marketplace for diners on the go, a top-of-the-line coffee program featuring the Valley’s first Modbar, an avant-garde floral boutique and much more.
