This page is to share the cool NASA related opportunties that JSC has to offer students and teachers.
-NASA's Spacecraft to serve as the primary crew vehicle for missions beyond LEO -Capable of conducting regular in-space operations (rendezvous, docking, extravehicular activity) in conjunction with payloads delivered by SLS for missions beyond LEO -Capability to be a backup system for ISS cargo and crew delivery
The Crew and Thermal Systems Division (CTSD) is part of the Engineering Directorate at the NASA Johnson Space Center. CTSD engineers design, develop, and test technologies to support humans in space. Systems include environmental control/life support (ECLSS) and active thermal control (ATCS) for spacecraft, as well as crew equipment, tools, and spacesuits for intravehicular activities (IVAs) and extravehicular activities (EVAs). CTSD also provides test capability in both vacuum and thermal/vacuum environments using specialized human test facilities.
