The LLC is part of USU's Residence Life program. Res Life is an integral part of our organization and it's what makes on-campus housing much more than just a place to sleep. We are here to provide social, recreational, service, educational, and leadership involvement opportunities for you to become involved in campus life. Resident Assistants (RA) are live-in-staff available 24/7 to help you. They are trained to respond to emergencies, enforce community policies, provide basic counseling and mediate roommate issues if needed. There is a Residence Director (RD) or an Area Coordinator in each community that supervises the Resident Assistants. We want to make sure that you have the best experience possible.

The Splash Lab seeks to unravel the physical mechanisms of fluid behaviors, through a novel 3D volumetric measurement method known as Synthetic Aperture Imaging and imbedded instrumentation (e.g., accelerometers, etc). We experimentally analyze fluid systems such as fluid-structure interactions, multi-phase flows, and free surface phenomena. Currently, we are funded by the Office of Naval Research and the National Science Foundation to improve our imaging techniques and elucidate topics from skipping balls to projectile water entry. Most of our projects are fun and interesting as we try to make them accessible to the public through high quality photography and video production!
The science of Geology examines earth materials, processes, and history. Geologists search for petroleum, natural gas, and mineral resources. They study processes acting at the Earth’s surface, such as flooding and landslides, and those generated in the interior, such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Geologists study the history of our planet, including the evolution of life and changes in the atmosphere, oceans, and climate over time. Geologists are employed by the petroleum and mining industries, government agencies (geologic surveys, park service, and land management agencies), K-12 education, and academia.
