Dr Gordon is a graduate of the University of Missouri and has practiced in Ft Lauderdale since 1991. He is a past President of the Broward County Veterinary association, currently serves on the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and is a recipient of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association Gold Star Award. He has been chosen as Best veterinarian in Broward and Palm Beach and by the New Tikes, awarded Best of the East Side , and was awarded the excellence in Customer Satisfaction by Talk of the Town in 2011 as voted by consumers.
I want to help people do the right thing for their pets. The goal is to have the best quality of life for the pet and the client. That is my practice philosophy. I provide office visits and house calls by appointment for the convenience of clients and patients. I have been a resident of South Florida since 2000. I originally came to the area as the County Veterinarian for Broward County Animal Care and Regulation. In my career I have worked as an epidemiologist, clinical research veterinarian, and a university professor. Even though I feel I made significant contributions and gained invaluable experiences in those positions, they all brought me back to being a private practitioner. My veterinary practice is designed to help clients make informed decisions on the medical care of their pets, by taking the time to make sure the client understands what is going on with the pet and explaining the best options for treatment. I offer several options in my practice that aid in increasing the quality of life for my patients while saving clients money and offering the highest quality medical care and services. The Free Vaccines For Life Program gives clients the opportunity to make sure their pet receives a yearly physical examination and vaccinations, an important part of a pet’s preventative healthcare plan. By enrolling in the program, the pet’s yearly core vaccinations are at no cost for the life of the pet, resulting in a significant cost saving to the client, making other preventative medical services and products more affordable. I am the only trained and certified veterinarian in South Florida providing Zeuterin, the non surgical neutering procedure for male dogs. Zeuterin is FDA approved and sterilizes your pet with an injection, eliminating the surgical removal of the testicles, reducing anesthesia exposure, pain, and recovery time. I offer live Video Consultations through the Vet24seven app. The app is available form the Apple App store and will soon be available for Android devices this fall.
