Other World Events LLC is a multi-use recreation site in the planning stages. Our goal is to meet the Pacific Northwest community recreation needs by creating a community planned and built site. Once complete we will have facilities to host everything from traditional family camping, to festivals and Renaissance fairs. Why Support OtherWorld Events? OWE’s objective is build a multi-use recreation area with custom built facilities for group recreation. Things like bunkers for air-soft, obstacle courses for team building and kids camps, a stage for EDM and other concerts, a medieval castle for the SCA, etc. A facility like this does not yet exist and we feel that Boise is the perfect place for the Northwest's first. Many state, county, and private parks have limits on group size, early noise curfews, and high insurance costs for activities with percieved risks, such as war sports (airosft, Belegarth, etc.). In addition, the base price of park admittance has only increased, and now the costs of holding large events is significantly higher, compared to even 5 years ago. Derek’s thoughts are simply thus, “Why not invest in a home that many communities are in need of, and not only match the facilities we currently rent at parks, but create better ones for all communities to enjoy. Christ Chapel is a historic chapel on Broadway at Campus Drive in Boise, Idaho on the campus of Boise State University. It is one of the oldest church buildings in the state.The Gothic Revival building was constructed in 1866 as St. Michael's Episcopal Church. In addition to serving as a church, the building was used as a school house for St. Margaret’s School, which was founded in 1892. St. Margaret's School eventually became Boise Junior College in 1932. In 1963 the Christ Chapel Historical Society was founded to restore Christ Chapel and move it to the Boise State University campus, where it remains today. The chapel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and is often used for weddings today. The Historical Society continues to own the building.
