"All Nations welcome but Carrie." THE STORY OF NATION At the turn of the 20th century, 6' tall Kentucky-born Carrie Nation ravaged bars across America. Wielding a hatchet, she claimed a divine ordinance to promote temperance by smashing any tavern and saloon that crossed her path. The slogan All Nations welcome but Carrie became a bar-room staple. Between 1900 and 1910, Carrie was arrested 30 times for her 'hatchetations' until she arrived in Cincinnati. Receiving word of her impending visit, Over-The-Rhine bar owners braced for the worst. Yet upon her arrival Carrie took one step onto Vine street, turned around and left. When asked why she did not follow her usual path of destruction, Carrie's response was “I would have dropped from exhaustion before I went one block for all the bars in this city." Nation serves as a tribute to the rich history of this city and neighborhood. It is meant to be an extension of your living room, a place for gathering neighbors, and a foundation for building community.

Cincinnati’s newest Ultra Lounge and Nightclub, Ivy Cincinnati

The 4,000-square-foot outdoor space is located on the second floor of the casino, The Pavilion, and features a full-service bar, fire pits, plush furniture, large-scale lamps with built-in heaters and a variety of entertainment. Surrounded by the downtown Cincinnati skyline, The Terrace is a unique, distinguished and an engaging atmosphere to host all types of special events. A mixture of unique LED lighting options such as the 8 foot replica table lamps and heaters, the circular bar and the round bar tables will illuminate the space. The Terrace Rooftop Bar will be featuring Straus Cigars and the best Bourbon and Scotch selection in Cincinnati. The Terrace will open for the season on Friday, April 22.

Ill is a project established by illustrator, Andrew Tremblay, to bring exposure to alternative artists, designers, and brands. The project exists as a store front and gallery opening Halloween 2014 on Main Street in Over-The-Rhine. The space will showcase the work of local artists other art collaborations. Artbooks, comics, prints, and apparel will be sold as well.

This gallery space was donated to the Art Academy of Cincinnati in August, 2014. It is student run: all cleaning, painting, curating, hanging, and promotion is done by a group of student volunteers. The space is designated for current students, alumni, faculty, and staff to display their artwork in the community; extending the reach of the Art Academy in the city. Currently, we are open to the public on Final Fridays from 6p-9p, Second Sundays from 12-5p, and by appointment only.
