The Seattle Attic Community Workshop is a feminist, woman-centered, trans- and queer-inclusive community space that supports members' individual and collaborative technological and artistic endeavors with a workspace, storage, tools, and other resources.
We are a non-profit agency serving Asian Pacific Islander Youth and all Youth of Color, ages 10-20, in the greater Seattle area. Our goal is to help youth deal with substance abuse/dependency issues and to provide youth with healthy alternatives to substance use. We provide services that meet the cultural needs and expectations of the community we serve. Re-opened in partnership with the Asian Pacific Islander Community Leadership Foundation in 2012, the C/ID Youth lounge is a safe space for youth to hang out, and a location for WAPI's programs. Golden Steel Athletic Association is located at Seattle, WA inside the International District/ Chinatown Community Center. Our school was founded by Grandmaster Allen J. Chinn, creator of Yee Jong Pai and Golden Steel. Golden Steel were supposed to Grandmaster Allen Chinn's most trusted students. We practice the style of Baat Ying Baat Faat, a combination of Northern and Southern Chinese martial arts taught by Sifu Shawn Miller. We offer the traditional teachings of Chinese martial arts which include: traditional forms, classical techniques, weapons, and controlled sparring. Please feel free to visit us if you are interested in enrolling or observing in our classes.
It's THAT TIME OF THE MONTH!!! We've changed Hungry For Change from every week to the last Saturday of the month, and it's time! Let's make it more huger than eva! Come join me and my friends as we cook hundreds of hotdogs and give them away for free to the homeless people of Seattle. We have been given much and love to give back. (Plus we may party a little, possibly). It is a rewarding experience and feels great to hear stories of people trying to change their lives. It is also quite a trip interacting with the crazy ones...
