The Dolby Theatre is a live-performance auditorium in the Hollywood and Highland Center shopping mall and entertainment complex, on Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles, United States. Since its opening on November 9, 2001, the theater has hosted the Academy Awards ceremonies, initially held there in March 2002. It is the first permanent home for these annual awards ceremonies.ArchitectureThe theater was designed by David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group, with Theatre Projects Consultants, specifically with the Oscar ceremonies in mind. Though the stage is one of the largest in the United States — roughly tied with the Edward C. Elliott Hall of Music at Purdue University — measuring 113ft wide and 60ft deep, its seating capacity is only about half the Hall of Music's, accommodating 3,332 people.The result of astute planning and technical design, the auditorium is particularly successful as a venue for televised theatrical performance (improving production values for American Idol and the Academy Awards). The architectural team consulted extensively with leading production personnel in Hollywood, achieving a highly functional cable infrastructure, with an underground cable bunker that crosses under the theater to truck locations on adjacent streets. Power is also substantial and accessible. The theater has a unique, Rockwell-designed cockpit in the orchestra seating area for camera, sound, and stage management.

SuperSoul Monday is an unplugged vibe with a live music experience featuring an 8 piece band, led by Jason Joseph. A stellar lineup of touring musicians perform 2 shows every Monday night with an up-tempo and continuous impromptu style for dancing and audience participation. Special guests and surprise performances are not rare at this weekly get down of funk, soul and jazz. SuperSoul Monday first began in 2008 and has grown exponentially over the past 5 years. In between sets, deejays play your favorite throwback tunes and new dance tracks. Los Angeles’ new destination for nightlife can be encapsulated in two letters: AV. Located in the historic Marion building, AV combines the sophistication embodied in the classic Hollywood architecture of the 1920s with the latest in sound and sensory innovations which include a Funktion One sound system and a lighting grid engineered by Steve Lieberman of SJL Lighting. The space was purposefully designed to draw a person’s eyes and ears to the DJ booth that is the centerpiece of AV and powers the sound system installed by Dan Agne of Sound Investments. The DJ booth is surrounded by an intimate landscape of 17th century European designs inspired by Baroque era embellishments and polished off with modern materials and technology. AV’s overall aesthetic is complemented by renowned interior designer Davis Krumins whose design choices allow guests to find comfort in the intimate yet roomy Roosevelt tufted chesterfield banquettes behind each table. For those looking to momentarily escape the organized chaos within, guests can escape to the exterior patio adorned with ivy covered walls and an outdoor fireplace - to catch their breath.

The Fonda Theatre is a historic 1920’s venue originally built as Carter De Haven’s Music Box and is formerly known as The Henry Fonda Theatre and The Music Box. One of Hollywood’s first legitimate theatres, the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre experienced a variety of incarnations during the 1920’s, 1930’s and 1940’s as part of an entertainment district of exceptional quality and diversity. Still keeping up with that reputation The Fonda Theatre re-opened on March 17th, 2012 with a performance by Feed Me with Teeth.
