FitFoods4U Seattle is a new way to get fresh meals, conveniently and at an affordable price. Prepped twice a week in a local Seattle kitchen, these fresh never frozen meals pack all the nutrients you'll need to stay energized and healthy. With a "back to basics" approach we combine lean proteins, complex carbs and fresh vegetables in flavorful ways that anyone will love. FitFoods4U began in 2009 in Denver with one man: Ricky Sosias. Ricky, a personal trainer, nutrition coach and national competitive body builder noticed what many trainers have, his clients were working their tails off in the gym and still not getting the results they wanted. His clients were still eating the wrong foods in the wrong amounts, or didn’t have enough time to prepare food properly. When it came down to it, most people had no time and lacked the specialized skills to cook for themselves. He started with just one client and now produces hundreds of meals a week, helping many people and families eat healthy foods, fueling their efforts to reach their goals of health and wellness. FitFoods4U also provides meals for the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos. Rick Sosias’ life’s passion has always been to help people. His simple principle: “Fuel the Body and Watch the Soul Flourish.” In 2014 Ricky reached out to two friends in Seattle -- Justin Wade and Zachary Chenoweth-- and asked if they thought this was something the city needed. Justin, a fitness coach and weight loss specialist, and Zac, a career chef, joined together to bring Seattle this proven recipe for success. Seattle is blanketed with restaurants, take-out options and unhealthy food. FitFoods4U Seattle is not just another dining or take out option, but completes a healthy lifestyle. It is for the individual who wants to look better, reach their fitness goals, have more energy and eat fresh, delicious nutrient dense food. We want you to have nutritious, satisfying meals, that leave you feeling good. Take advantage of our proven track record and make healthy eating a reality in your life.
We are close enough to call ourselves conveniently located near the Convention Center. Large enough to accomodate a medium-sized wedding. Versatile enough to handle a reception and sit down dinner for a small business group. We aren't all things to all people. However, we are a lot of things to a lot of people. We aim to fill what we see as an underserved market in Seattle -- the mid-sized, venue rental. Utina is polished enough to leave as is. Neutral enough to make your own. January 16, 2011 was the opening event at Utina. A cocktail reception for 90. The U.S.S. Utina was naval ship number 163 and our namesake. When she was part of the fleet, she was the smallest ship in the navy. A salvage ship -- home to and training post for deep sea naval divers. For a time, her captain was Jack Hensley.

As simple a thing as clean, dry clothes and a shower can be the difference between getting a job or not, between staying healthy or not, between feeling dignified or not. As our region’s economy rapidly changes and brings so much uncertainty to the lives of our neighbors, it is easy to overlook the small but powerful community organizations that fill vital needs. LIHI’s Urban Rest Stop is one such place. Since opening in 2000, the Urban Rest Stop has served as many as 700 people each day with free restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities in a clean, safe, and dignified environment. In recent months more and more women, children and families have dropped in to the URS, which we can’t help but see as a sign of the times. With your help, the Urban Rest Stop can continue to fulfill our powerful and simple mission: we are giving people a safe place to wash their clothes, take a shower, and catch their breath.
Dr. Kent Johnson founded Morningside in Seattle in 1980. Morningside has two programs: a non-profit school for children and youth, and a teachers' academy. Morningside Academy's school helps both elementary and middle school students to catch up and get ahead. Its students have not previously reached their potential; many have learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or ADD/ADHD; all have average to well above average intelligence. Morningside is not a school for children with significant emotional problems, behavior problems, or developmental delays.

Why is a United States organization working to protect the Canadian boreal forest? Because it is one of the largest intact forest ecosystems left on earth and it is critical to North American birds. International attention is a key part of conserving the Canadian boreal because of the volume of trade between the U.S. and Canada. Resource development in the boreal is largely being spurred by American consumption. The U.S. is the leading importer of Canadian wood products as well as oil and gas. Presently trees being logged in the boreal are mostly pulped and turned into disposable products such as toilet tissue, junk mail, and catalogs. The historical international focus of U.S. birding and naturalist groups has to date been southward, on the wintering grounds of many North American migratory birds, but now it has become apparent that our attention must be focused north on the boreal breeding grounds of many of these birds as well.

Legal Voice, founded in 1978 as the Northwest Women's Law Center, works to ensure that all women and girls have these fundamental rights: to equal treatment and to be free from discrimination; to decide when and how to form and maintain their families; to be safe wherever they are; to economic equality and independence; to be healthy and active. When all women and girls live with these rights, our society benefits. We pursue systemic change to achieve equality for all women and their families throughout the Northwest.

Our Theatre Lab provides a forum for experimentation by professionals, the development of new performance material, and the rediscovery of classics. The Lab enables artists to explore new work - and new ways of working - in order to forge a deeper connection between actor and audience, self and community, life and art. Our Studio offers a safe place where anyone and everyone can take risks. Freehold’s students are encouraged to move theatre forward—to transform, deepen, and clarify new ways of working. From introductory sessions for the curious to master classes for practicing artists, the Studio offers an extraordinary range of disciplines and styles to help students develop a comprehensive understanding of theatre craft and acting, and to develop an artist’s greatest gift—a sense of truth—while developing the means to express this gift specifically and viscerally. Our Mission: Freehold engages artists of all levels in training and experimentation so that they may become more innovative and heartfelt in generating theatre that has a lasting impact on the community we serve. Our Vision: We at Freehold believe that theatre should inspire people to embrace the full range of human experience and connect us all more deeply to ourselves and to each other. In order for theatre to accomplish this, it must be truthful, illuminate the unseen, and articulate the unspoken. To realize this potential, there must be a place dedicated to research and experimentation in training and performance for working artists, inspired novices, and willing audiences.
