BoxJelly - Hawaii's Coworking Space Hawaii's first and largest coworking space, BoxJelly, is a place where community and creativity come to thrive. Innovators such as designers, coders, engineers, entrepreneurs, lawyers, film editors, among many others, can be found prowling the premises daily. With 12-hour openings, 8am to 8pm on weekdays, and an 11am to 4pm Saturday schedule, BoxJelly provides space and networking opportunities to many of Hawaii's finest. Typical amenities include a shared kitchen, lounge, 24/7 access to the space (once vetted), paired by atypical features like Tuesday community lunches made of locally-sourced food, VR and bitcoin workshops, or friendly dogs to love. Hifi strives to be a central hub for fashion in Hawai‘i. Hifi’s member network, website, events, and projects are geared toward connecting fashion enthusiasts, students and professionals with people, information, and resources to help them achieve their goals and collectively drive the local industry forward. As Hifi evolves, it plans to expand its resource offerings to include brick-and-mortar facilities offering shared workspace, affordable manufacturing, classes, retail and showroom space, and other expressed needs of the community. The facilities will provide a gathering place for Hawaii's fashion industry and create an informational resource and destination for visitors and the general public. Hifi plans to expand educational opportunities in fashion for K-12 and higher education and develop events, marketing and branding strategies to promote Hawaii's fashion industry at the local, national, and international level. Hifi will also continue to support the preservation of the University of Hawaii's Historic Costume Collection.
Lemongrass Cafe is a food and beverage establishment started in 2010 by Pacific Gateway Center, a 40 year old non-profit organization servicing low-income, immigrant and refugee communities in Hawaii. We are located on King St. between Maunakea and Smith. Parking available at Chinatown Municipal Parking Garages on Maunakea or Smith St. for $3 and only 1 block from us. Within the mint green store front on King St., 15 ft. high ceilings and red brick walls give way to experiences of people connecting through food, conversation and learning which fills the space with energy that carries on to each new individual that walks through the door. Lemongrass Café is a space where community comes together and resiliency is fostered.
