Hermann Historic District in Hermann, Missouri is a historic district that dates from 1838. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 and its boundaries were increased in 2006.
Our Process There is a reason that German beer is famed all over the world. With our beers, you don’t have to travel all the way to Germany to taste the reason why. At Tin Mill Brewery, we follow the Reinheitsgebot, or German Purity law, to the letter using no corn or rice in our beers. The barley we use is grown and malted in Germany and comes from some of the best barley fields in the world. Our hops come from the Hallertau Region of Germany about an hour north of Munich. Even our traditional copper brew kettles are imported from Germany. Our brewing method uses the old world tradition of Krausening, a process currently used by only a few brewers in the United States. In this process we take beer that is almost finished fermenting and add a little newly fermented beer to recharge the fermentation activity and naturally carbonate the beer. This beer is then aged in our cellars at cold temperatures for an additional five weeks. This cold lagering process gives our beers a more balanced flavor with a clean finish and a true German taste.
