Aaron Davis Hall is a performing arts center in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City.Aaron Davis Hall was founded in 1979 and is located on the campus of the City College of New York, between West 133rd and 135th Streets on Convent Avenue. Convent Ave. is one block east of Amsterdam Avenue. and is the northern extension of Morningside Avenue beginning at 127th Street.In 2007, it was among over 530 New York City arts and social service institutions to receive part of a $20 million grant from the Carnegie Corporation, which was made possible through a donation by New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg.
The Harlem Arts Festival presents multi-disciplinary performances in venues throughout Harlem, culminating in an annual festival that takes place in Marcus Garvey park at the richard rodgers amphitheater. The performances showcase local performers and visual artists that inspire and nourish the artistic community in Harlem. The festival aims to promote arts education and literacy by implementing arts-related discussion forums, educational workshops, performance opportunities and activities for youth and family. The goal of the Harlem Arts Festival is to fuel the cultural and artistic prosperity of our neighborhood.

The goals of Listen Up, a program of Iris House, are to educate young black heterosexual men and young men who are having sex with men (YMSM), between ages 18-24, in Substance Abuse (SA) and HIV prevention interventions. The program aims to reduce substance abuse and the transmission of HIV/AIDS among at-risk racial/ethnic minority young adults while also promoting positive communications among sexual partners to change social norms and perceptions of African American males regarding condom use.
