Mission Statement: Arlington Proud serves as a resource to create, sustain, and advocate Arlington through community based initiatives that connect the arts, businesses, students, and neighbors. Success is evidenced by improved fun, health, property values, community relationships, safety, and schools. In the last five years, new traits have surfaced that are leading people to fall in love with their neighborhoods, especially young families. Today’s re-locators still place the needs of safety, security and education as top priorities. However, more are more priorities are falling into lifestyle categories. These new priorities include live music, walkability, unique restaurants, and cultural offerings for the entire family. Together, all of these attributes create a sense of “place.” We believe these places can be found for a variety of young families in one of our 100 neighborhoods. Arlington Proud partners with the city, local schools, businesses, and residents to impact economic and community redevelopment.
