Flushing International High School is a New York City public high school that opened in September 2004 in Flushing, New York. Students come from over 30 different countries and speak over twenty different native languages. Flushing International is a NYC School Empowerment School in District 25.HistoryFlushing International High School is a member of the The Internationals Network for Public Schools, a non-profit organization that grew out of the work of a group of international high schools in New York City. The organization now supports 12 schools in New York and California. The first international high school, located on the campus of LaGuardia Community College, opened in 1985; two more followed in the 1990s. Shifu Guolin founded the Shaolin Temple Overseas Heaquarters (STOH) in 1995 with the permission and support from Shi YongXin, the abbot of the Shaolin Temple in China. Citi Field is a stadium located in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in the New York City borough of Queens. Completed in 2009, it is the home baseball park of Major League Baseball's New York Mets. Citi Field was built as a replacement for the formerly adjacent Shea Stadium, which opened in 1964 next to the site of the 1964–1965 World's Fair. Citi Field was designed by Populous, and is named after Citigroup, a New York financial services company which purchased the naming rights. The $850 million baseball park was funded by the sale of New York City municipal bonds which are to be repaid by the Mets plus interest. The payments will offset property taxes for the lifetime of the park. The first game at Citi Field was on March 29, 2009, with a college baseball game between St. John's and Georgetown. Its founders YiCheng Huang and Lingli Fu, two professional Latin and Ballroom dancers who have been competed successfully in both China and US, have always worked hard to educate their students with their unique and deep understanding of dance in the community. They encourage their students to learn dance through participating into various competitions and performances. Students here not only learn dance through practicing skills and techniques but also through understanding the wide arrange of dance vocabularies and the essence of dance in general.
