I am a Tampa Florida native and begin my formal art education in a Tampa Bay Technical High School and later attended college at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, in the city that would become my permanent home. My formative design career was spent with a commercial printer where I acquired an understanding of pre-press mechanics and honed my layout and production skills. Through that focus on print marketing I have been exposed to a wide variety of industries and project types – Logo Design, Corporate Identity, Brochures & Catalogs, Annual Reports, Packaging Design, Package Production (foil stamping & die cut integration), Spot Illustrations and Photo Retouching. My career has taken me from SoFL to SoHo to San Francisco and back again, with a few stops up North to decompress in a small town or two as the leaves changed and I sampled my first snow storms. Experiencing life in these diverse regions rounded my cultural perspective as well as broadened my design palette. In 2005 I receded from the Corporasphere of 15 hour days to pursue my freelance endeavors full-time and have never looked back in all these years of working from home in my pajamas. :) But don't let the fuzzy slippers fool you! – proving distinctive design and expertly executed mechanical services is still my specialty! You can count on fluid aesthetics, thoughtful information architecture, sound production methods and timely execution when you place your project in my care – from Logo Design to Annual Reports you can trust your marketing interests are at the heart of my intent. In current years I have made forays into website design, web graphic support and social media marketing as well, although I will always hold a special place for art and design that one can touch and hold. As such, I spend my spare time crafting with beads, watercolors and hand painted ceramics – the idea that these small treasures might bring someone enjoyment is what makes it so gratifying and a break from the computer is what makes it so relaxing.
