Claddagh Irish Pub brings the best of Ireland to American guests, serving modern twists on the finest traditional cuisine paired with perfect pints of beer in an authentic and friendly setting. The Claddagh represents a community in which friends and neighbors come together to enjoy food and drink and socialize, which is in the tradition of the pubs or “public houses” in Ireland that serve as town gathering places. The hallmark of the restaurants’ public house environment is the “craic” (pronounced “crack”)—meaning a fun, friendly, and exuberant atmosphere.

The Hey Hey Bar and Grill was built in 1900. During Prohibition, it was a speakeasy, one of the few well documented in Columbus (and there were lots!!)! The windows were closed up and the patrons said that they were playing cards! The gentlemen who brought the bootleg would always say, "Hey! Hey! The Beer is Here!" and they became known as the Hey Hey Boys! The name obviously stuck! Susan and Timothy Gall own the Hey Hey now and established it in 1981. They travel and do festivals- The Dublin Irish Festival, The Columbus Oktoberfest, The Dayton Oktoberfest, The Cincinnati Oktoberfest (Second largest to Munich's in the world!), The Circleville Pumpkin Festival, and sometimes more! They usually sell Potato Pancakes, their famous Sauerkraut Balls, Cabbage and Noodles, Chicken and Noodles, and Limburger Cheese Sandwiches! The famous Sauerkraut Balls were featured in "MidWest Living Magazine" and are always available at the Hey Hey! Regular, Jalapeno, Veggie, or Vegan! The Hey Hey is open 7 days a week from 3 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Happy Hour is weekdays from 3-7 and includes $1 off all beer and liquor. The Hey Hey has a great beer selection! Tons of Crafts! The Hey Hey always has amazing acts passing through such as Sleepy LaBeef, Switchback, Jason D Williams, EG Kight, and more!!

BOOKING PROTOCOL: Our capacity is around 200 people and we feature live music of all styles (from national and local artists) four nights a week. All booking is handled via email, no exceptions. Send all booking inquiries to bigroombarbooking AT gmail DOT com. Please include the date you're interested in, the lineup you propose for the night, and links to your music. We will review your proposal and if we think it makes sense for the Big Room Bar, we'll get back to you! We're currently booking shows Wednesday through Saturday nights. We will occasionally book live music on other nights for bigger shows (primarily national touring acts with label support) or special events with a large potential draw. GUIDELINES: Out of town acts: if you don’t already have a huge following in Columbus (a consistent draw of 100 or more), you must have two strong locals on the bill to make this work. “Strong Locals” means bands in town that people have heard of and will actually go see. Let’s face it: your band IS probably the most popular band in your hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, but… if WE'VE never heard of you, it’s pretty likely that there's not going to be a line down the street to see you guys in Columbus, Ohio. SO… in order to make it an awesome show for everyone involved, contact some like-minded local bands first and see if they’d be willing to play with you on the date you’re looking for. Sorry, but due to the volume of requests we get, we are not able to help you find local bands. Please visit www.cringe.com for some ideas. Cover charges at the Big Room Bar are $5 on most nights (the famous CD102.5 “Low Dough Show”) with exceptions for ticketed events and the occasional free show. All door money goes straight to the bands, minus a $50 production fee for sound and security. Bands are paid a percentage of bar sales on nights with no cover charge. All band members performing get a couple free drink tickets and a $5 off food voucher (which is applicable to all menu items except already discounted ones...I.E., happy hour specials, etc) LOAD IN NO LATER THAN 8 PM. Shows need to start by 9 PM (and by 8 PM on four band bills) and must be over by 11:00PM. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you cause any damage to bar equipment or property (e.g. breaking microphones, punching holes in the walls, unapproved graffiti, etc.), you will be held responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement. Here are some common sense tips to help make your show successful: 1. Don’t ask to set up a show here if you’re playing in town the night before unless your name is The Rolling Stones and your show the night before was in Ohio Stadium. Seriously, if you have other Columbus shows within 2 weeks before or after your proposed date, as a general rule, we will not want to book you. While we’re sure your band is great, your fans and friends aren’t going to come see you every… single… week. 2. If you’re setting up a show with an unknown out of town band, do the right thing and give them the middle slot. Treat them right and they’ll probably treat you right when you play in Sheboygan on tour. 3. PROMOTE YOURSELF. Make some posters! Make a Facebook event, invite your friends and post it on our Facebook wall. Tell your friends. Hand out flyers at other shows. Tell your dental hygienist that you’re playing a show. If you don’t even make a Facebook event – literally the least you can do to promote your show – we probably won’t ask you to play again. 4. Drop off those posters you made at the bar. We know you made an image for your Facebook event (see above), so print that off and bring us some. C’mon. That’s the FUN part about setting up shows. 5. Stay and watch the other bands play. Don’t play your set and bolt. First of all, it’s rude. Second, we pay out at the end of the night. If you’re not here, you don’t get paid. 6. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Any questions, please re-read this list again. If you STILL have questions or you think everything above is reasonable and want to move forward, then email our booking guy: bigroombarbooking AT gmail DOT com

We love coffee, chocolate... and people who love coffee and chocolate. Our baristas enjoy serving and spending time with our neighbors and customers, and introducing them to a new roast of coffee or piece of chocolate they haven't tried yet. We're a great place to grab a quick morning coffee and homemade scone, have your meet-up, enjoy an afternoon chai latte, and pick up some dessert on your way home from work. In addition to freshly roasted drip coffee and handcrafted lattes, our baristas love making pour over coffee and can help you put together a gift box, platter of chocolates for your next gathering, and educate you about the process of making coffee and chocolate.
Community Grounds: Coffee & Meeting House will provide high quality coffee that is roasted locally and honestly sourced along with a variety of food options. It will also be a space for the sharing of music, poetry, books, ideas and anything else that will make Parsons Avenue even better. We'll also partner with local high schools to provide students with volunteer opportunities in Ganthers Place and internship experience to meet their curriculum requirements. We believe that creating a safe space for our young residents to gain business experience and to learn about the world outside of the South Side will bring them one step closer to success.
Our restaurant features local products and local flavors by working with a dedicated network of farmers, producers, and craftsmen. We allow the seasons and what is available to us daily to drive our menu and in doing so it will change often. We may sell through a menu item due to the sometimes limited nature of what is procured for that particular menu offering. We do however, promise that all items served will be fresh and with Chef's highest standards.
We use the highest quality ingredients to bring the best pizza, pasta and subs to you our customers. Our dough, cheese and vegetables are prepared fresh daily.
