THIS JOINT IS TEX-MEX Roja Mexican Grill serves it up Tex-Mex style. Fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, chimichangas and more, all with sizzling smack and an extra helping of Tex flavor. Wash it all down with a Pomegranate Margarita or a tall boy Tecate. OUR DRINK MENU BOASTS MORE THAN 80 TEQUILAS. THAT’S RIGHT, 80. And the warm chips and chunky salsa on your table, we’re spinning those fresh all day long. Take a load off on our fire-pit patio, or relax with friends and family in the dining room. It’s never a dull meal at Roja Mexican Grill. THE STORY OF TWO TEXANS Roja Mexican Grill + Margarita Bar opened in Nebraska in 2004. But two of its owners hail from Texas. They met seemingly by fate, and an undeniable fondness for mouth-watering fare. One, a culinary explorer from Austin, traveled the region, sampling dishes from the Yucat án Peninsula to Baja California. The other, born and raised in Houston, developed a palate for border-style cuisine at a frighteningly young age when instead of strained peas, his mother mistakenly fed him hefty spoonfuls of homemade salsa verde. When the two met, mariachi filled the air and became what you and I know as Roja Mexican Grill + Margarita Bar.
If you can’t get to Dublin to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, there’s a little piece of Ireland nestled underground at 1205 Harney Street in the Old Market, its basement entrance rising out of the sidewalk as suddenly as a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. “We’ve been extremely fortunate that it’s been so successful because it’s not like it’s in the middle of a high-traffic area where you drive down the street and go ‘there’s The Dubliner!’,” owner Frank Vance says. “It’s in the basement, there’s a little rock out front and that’s about it.” The Dubliner Pub’s patrons “drink up” today, but the building’s original customers were more likely to “hitch up” during its 1894 start as a tack supply business. And no one could “loosen up” there in the days when it housed a mannequin manufacturing company. In 1978, Paul and Kate McGill purchased the John A. Horbach building, which was named an Omaha landmark in 1979 and is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. They developed the Dubliner’s predecessor, Horbach’s, in the basement space that included the area once used for coal intake and storage. Raising the pub’s profile as the closest thing across the pond to a typical pub in Ireland, the McGills soon renamed the establishment Dubliner Pub and operated it until 1989. Vance and his wife Cindy, who also own Cohen & Kelly’s Lounge in West Omaha , bought the popular bar from its second owner in 1999. “For years, my wife and I had heard how much this is like Irish pubs.

Our reverse osmosis water system ensures that we use the purest water possible for our craft ice program, alongside the sodas, syrups and bitters we make in-house. We're uncompromising in making the best well balanced cocktail with fresh ingredients and quality spirits. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your cocktail, please send it back. Our goal is to match you with the perfect cocktail experience. Our room policy is seating-only. Much like a restaurant, we seat our patrons with a host. Not to be confused with VIP or exclusive access, we just want to ensure consistency in service, consistency in atmosphere and consistency in cocktails. We encourage an atmosphere where people come with an open mind, enjoy our laid back atmosphere and slowly sip and savor drinks over good conversation. Our cocktails are labor intensive, so please be patient. If catching a show at Century Link, Holland Center, Orpheum or just need a post-dinner drink, we highly recommend reservations. But if our 65-seat room is full, our host will simply take down your number and text you when a space is available. As well, feel free to text on your way down to get seating updates at 402-613-1331.
