Here is a small list of what you can expect when ordering from Gracefully Jaded Designs All of our products are handmade by US, we do not outsource or buy already made items. We use only natural & repurposed wood! No plywood, partical board or laminate. Because the wood we use is natural no 2 items will be exactly alike! You can expect your sign to have knots, differing grains, textures & cracks, this adds to the character & uniqueness of our signs! As you'll notice most of our signs are also distressed. I think there is a certain beauty & timelessness in antiqued items & I take the time to not only hand paint but distress/antique each sign I make. Again this ensures that your sign will never look the same as anothers! Our signs are completely painted unless otherwise specified, we prefer not to use vinyl lettering so each sign has a smooth even surface & your letters will NEVER peel off or fade away! Each sign is sealed & weather protected if it will be hung outside & always comes ready to hang. We ensure durability & a 100% finished product! Finally because of the care & time we put into each sign there is at least a 3 week turn around time. We will always try to get your item finished as quickly as possible. Please keep in mind that a rushed product is often a poor product & that is the last thing you want to spend your money on!
About us. We are the best R/C flight training facility in the country. We give our students the full scale pilot experience, from theory, practical knowledge to hands on flight training second to none. We teach you in the exact same way a full scale pilot learns. Hi, my name is Ken Dresser and I have been flying R/C airplanes for 31 years and full scale airplanes for 21 years. As founder and chief flight instructor for the R/C Flight Academy, I developed a professional R/C flight training program that combines the fun and exiting hobby of aeromodelling with full scale knowledge, procedures and theory to make you the best pilot possible at any scale. Why R/C pilots make better full scale pilots. Every time I see a full scale crash on youtube that looks like pilot error, I wonder if that crash could have been avoided, had that pilot received R/C flight training. That is why I have made it my life mission to teach the R/C flight experience to as many pilots as possible. The R/C flight experience will one day save lives. Remember the airliner that crashed in 1990 because it ran out of fuel? Could R/C flight training have changed that outcome? There is a saying back home that says “The devil knows more for being old than for being the devil” Experience means more than theory. Do you know how many times airline pilots are asked to run their airliner out of fuel and crash as part of their training? Zero. Do you know how many times an R/C pilot runs out of fuel and crashes? dozens of times. This experience is unique to R/C pilots. And this experience is imprinted deep into our minds. So when the timer beeps, our experience of crashing in the past makes us have an urgent need to land before running out of fuel again. We can only wonder what would have happened if the pilots on flight 52 had R/C experience? Would they have waited for 75 minutes like they where asked to do, or would they have declared an emergency and attempted a landing as they started to burn their reserve fuel. This is just one example of hundreds of emergency situations R/C pilots face everyday that full scale pilots never experience. This is why I designed my R/C flight training to combine the best of both worlds. The R/C pilot learns the theory and knowledge that explains the why of his or her crashes. The full scale pilot learns the consequence of a mistake in real life that otherwise he or she would never have experienced. 20 years ago I was instructing a young pilot and at the same time another instructor had his respective student. The two airplanes had a midair crash right in front of us, one of the most spectacular crashes I have ever been involved in. I was unable to speak for hours, I kept seeing the pieces of balsa wood rain down as the only thing left of the two airplanes. This experience marked me for life. Now when I fly full scale, I scan for traffic meticulously as I remember that fatal day 20 years ago. It's basic brain chemistry. Country’s with corporal punishment have lower crime rates. Why? Because it hurts and you will remember how you felt when that whip ripped through your skin. You will think twice about breaking the law. It is the same for pilot error. A full scale pilot makes a fatal error once and its over. An R/C pilot makes a fatal error and he or she feels the pain of loosing his or her precious airplane. This pilot error generates very real pain. Pain you feel in your heart as tears start flowing down your chin. As you go pickup the pieces of your destroyed airplane. You will remember and avoid this pilot error for the rest of your life.
