Our Roots: Mad Monk Tea was started in January of 2010 with the hopes of helping to spread the beauty, elegance and magic of traditional tea and tea culture. We specialize in premium, organic, hand picked tea and traditional tea ceremonies (GongFu Cha). Our passion is in educating the community on the history, practice, and health benefits of tea. Our goal is to create the perfect tea room, a refuge for peace and harmony centered on simple and healthy lifestyle practices. We hope you can join us on our journey. We are dedicated to working with farmers and cultivators of the same philosophy and practice, who share a deep love of tea, and wish to extend and offer that love to others. Our Mission: Providing the highest quality tea, for those who see tea as a way of life. Our Product: At Mad Monk Tea we currently offer over 28 varieties of high quality, fair trade, organic tea, both seasonal and aged. We have a wide collection of organic herbs, that can be tailor blended into either caffeinated or decaffeinated teas. We are especially proud of our Pu-er collection. Made in the traditional style, our Pu-er has been organically certified in China, Japan, Europe and the US, and is hand crafted, using boi-diverse farming and heirloom, vintage tea trees. Also on offer are a wide range of Taiwanese Oolongs. Treasured as some of the finest tea in the world, the Taiwanese are renowned for their Oolongs of delicate complexities, and depth of flavor. All of our tea is grown by farmers who have a deep love and respect for their product, an energy that can be felt in the tea itself!

I had some friends who were very into crystals and wire work, and one day when we were hanging out they were doing their thing and I was like "Well, I have some quarts that I brought back from Joshua Tree. Let me see some of that wire!" I liked the way that first pendant came out, and I've been in love ever since. In the course of one year I went from using upcycled copper wire from electronics to being commissioned to craft my first multi-stoned pendant, in all sterling silver. I had arrived. However, to this day I do not forget that there is appreciation for all values of material, and although I'm not using recycled wire any more, I still make a lot of jewelry from lower cost materials such as copper, all the way up to silver and gold. I want to have something for everyone! In spring of 2014 I started selling my Jewelry under the simple name River Wraps. Easy enough, I am River... River Wraps. But, by the end of 2015 I came to realize that my business name was not very unique. The name River Wraps has many similar businesses, on facebook alone: "Lazy River Wraps", "River Jewelry", "Riverbend Jewelry". etc... etc. River this & River that... Then, when I went to set up a gmail address that used the letters 'riverwraps', and to little surprise it was already taken, that was it! At that point I resolved to come up with something more unique, and while I'm at it, chose a title that isn't limited to just wire wraps. Someday I hope to advance into fabricated metal work and stone cutting . I finally settled on the name Positron Jewelry. Wikipedia describes the positron as I have it quoted above. I thought that sounded pretty interesting. Though in no way a physicist, I've always been fascinated by quantum theory. So Positron it was! 2016 and beyond marks a new beginning for what is now Positron Jewelry. I'm always learning and advancing my skill in this journey called life, and happy that I can share my skills with so many people. Thank you for your audience. ~River
