The Balanza Wellness Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and reversing childhood obesity. BWF provides educational resources to parents, youth, education professionals, health and wellness professionals, and the general public. BWF provides financial aid to low-income individuals participating in wellness camp, educational programs and out-patient treatment.
I have a private practice in Old Town San Diego. I have a masters degree in counseling psychology and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I specialize in the treatment of individual's who suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma and addiction related problems. During the therapeutic process I will help you gain insight into maladaptive behaviors and or distorted cognitions which may be holding you back from true happiness. I will teach you positive coping skills and provide you with tools to achieve and maintain your treatment goals. I follow a collaborative approach to therapy and draw upon many different interventions and techniques that specifically fit each client's treatment goals and problems. I believe that therapy should be about working together in a non-judgmental warm environment and this is the foundation that can evoke change within a person.
