There’s Nascar American & there’s American Chic, although we occasionally drink like the former, we design like the latter. For many years the original Firehouse stood on this spot & became a local legend. After some time passed, a couple of name & ownership changes, the restaurant/bar fell into disrepair left sad, broken-down & unloved, the two current owners, both San Diego residents purchased what was left of the business with pretty much all they had. Realizing Pacific Beach was growing up, their vision was to create a Retro-American-Chic version of the original to bridge the gap between the swanky Miami-style lounges & the warm cozy vibe of Pacific Beach. We feel we have achieved this & hope you enjoy what we like to call the new Pacific Beach.

Pueblo brings Modern Baja Coastal Cuisine to Pacific Beach. Now Soflty Open! Experienced restaurateur Mark Oliver, and local Pacific Beach resident investors, are behind a complete renovation of the 5,900-square-foot site of the former China Inn, which promises to add a full-service and upscale dining option to the Pacific Beach neighborhood. Pueblo will bring a bit of Baja coast to San Diego, with a menu that brings together traditional dishes derived from the coastal communities of Baja and contemporary chef-driven plates fueled by regional ingredients, with an emphasis on seafood and lighter preparations. The restaurant's bar will pour beer and wine from both sides of the border, and offer a good selection of tequila and agave-based spirit cocktails. The restaurant's seating is mostly laid out in an open courtyard and rooftop deck, with a design that will be airy and modern, yet retain rustic architecture details that inspired the Pueblo name.

Ever wonder how Buddies Burgers came to be? It's a simple story about two friends and a dream. These two friends are Mickey Mance and Robert Gregorio and they have been "Buddies" since they were 5-years-old. They boys have always been great friends and teammates, playing baseball and football together all the way through high school. Then it came time for college and both boys decided to attend San Diego State University where Robert played football for the Aztecs and studied Political Science, while Mickey studied Economics. One day after class at SDSU the boys wanted a good hamburger. They looked around for one near campus but nothing could be found. Thus, the idea for opening a hamburger place was born. During their junior year of college Robert and Mickey were ready for the adventure, and presented the idea to their families. With the support of their family and friends, they became teammates once again, opening the doors to Buddies Burgers on March 21, 2011. Buddies began offering its always fresh, made-to-order, deliciously juicy hamburgers (and much more) right in the SDSU college area. Going to school and becoming young business owners may not have been easy, but they did it! Since graduating from SDSU in 2012, Mickey and Robert continue to work hard and live out their dream, hoping to grow their business daily.
