Dr. Debbie Bright is a sports rehab-based Chiropractic Physician at Function Smart Physical Therapy located in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego, California. Dr. Bright takes pride in treating and co-treating a variety of patients at this facility, ranging from weekend warriors to advanced competitors, including Olympic medalist marathon runners, Ironman triathletes, and professional athletes competing in the NFL, MLB and PGA Tour. Dr. Bright also works with members of the armed forces, such as the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the Navy Seals. Dr. Bright attended the University of Central Missouri (UCM), earning a degree in Exercise Science. While completing her undergraduate studies, Dr. Bright served as a manager for the UCM wrestling team and worked with several of the University of Missouri (Mizzou) Division-I National Qualifiers. She continues to maintain a close doctor-patient advisory relationship with these athletes, many of whom transitioned their wrestling careers into ultimate fighting. Dr. Bright earned her Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from the top-ranked Logan College of Chiropractic, located in St. Louis, Missouri. She then proceeded with furthering her education by attaining a Masters Degree in Nutrition & Human Performance, also through Logan University. Dr. Bright’s extensive educational background allows her to utilize various treatments such as: joint manipulation, soft tissue therapies, laser therapy, physiotherapeutic modalities and corrective exercise to create comprehensive treatment plans specific to each patient. While Dr. Bright is a chiropractor by trade, she prides herself on being labeled as a sports rehabilitation specialist. Brett Rabin is a California Licensed Acupuncturist specializing in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and the mitigation of pain associated with acute and chronic injuries. As a graduate of the prestigious Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification Program, Brett employs a variety of diagnostic techniques to evaluate and treat numerous physical conditions. He is a graduate of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego, where he received a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM). Brett's private practice is located at Water and Sports Physical Therapy & Wellness, conveniently located in the heart of San Diego.
