How the weekly "Make me a Bow Love MOdel" contest works~ ON this weekly contest, it is a bit differant thant he model tryouts that you need to do to earn modeling bookings. On the weekly contest, because we give out prizes of money, gift certificates,etc. of photos tha we believe showcase our product the best, the entrants need to be wearing out product in the photo entered. We will then choose the top 2 pics that we believe showcased our producted in a way that we needed at the time of post.
How the montly "Make me a Bow Love Model" contest works ~ On the montly contest, we will not be choosing the winner (simply for the fact that we have already chosen the pics that we most liked for showcasing our product, and now we want to see what the public thinks of our choices) All of this is for us to gain knowledge of what best sales our product.Think of it as research. NOw... with tha said, depending on how that goes during this first montly contest, (if it is not a true voting, but rather a popularity contest,) we will then change to electing a judging panel of moms.
How Bookings Work~~
OK, so have a lot of product ready to be photographed. I will post these details on my info page as well, but those of you wanting to do bookings, this is how it will work. ~~~ Certain times of the year, month, etc. we will need our product photographed. Sometimes for ads, web sites, etc. and will be using these pics for differant occasions. As I stated earlier, I am approached daily via phone, fb, etc. for model agencys, moms, offering to model our product, but at the end of the day, I would rather use the familiar faces that we have grown to know and love and give those that are loyal to us the opportunity to get extra exposure and pics for thier portfolio rather than perfect strangers. NOw, with that said, by all means dont hesitate to try us out if you are a new customer as I am confident that you will grow to appreciate what truly sets us apart from from so many.
~~DETAILS~~~ PLease post a model try out pic so that we can remember who is willing to do our bookings and we will put them in that folder. We will then choose girls based on differant things as to who we would like to model each piece and may even choose more than one girl for the same piece to show its versitility. ONce you have been chosen for a booking, I will have your name on them at the store for you to pick up. We can also ship, but you will be responsible for shipping fees. You will receive these items free of charge to keep in exchange for at least 2-4 usable photos of your little girl modeling the product. 2 full shots, 1 close up, and 1 of the product alone. These are minimums. The more the merrier of course. I will need these images in digital form either emailed or put on disk. I encourage photographers to feel free to put thier logo on these photos, but inform them that we may add our logo as well to protect our design. Thier logo will not be altered. It is your responsibility to make sure I receive these images within 7-14 days.
Questions you may have~
Q:Do these have to be PROFESSIONAL photos or can I take them myself?
A:You are welcome to do either , but that is a decision you will need to think about, because we obviously need good , high quality photos so that when parents see them, they think "I have to have that for my little girl". Because I am not familiar with all of your photographic abilitys, I can not tell you which would work best for you.
Q:So, if we use a professional, who pays them for thier time and pics?
A:Because we could not afford or have time to have every product taken ourselves, we are enlisting your help. We give you the product and in exchange, you take on the responsibility of producing the photos. Most photographers are willing to work with you and offer special mini sessions to accomidate you as well as they will gain exposure for thier photography. We will be working on a folder that will be titled "PHOTOGRAPHERS WILLING TO WORK WITH BOW LOVE BOOKINGS" of photographers that are willing to offer you a special rate or deal.
Q:So, what is the guarentee you will use my daughters photograph if we go through all of this effort?
A: There is no guarentee. Keep in mind throughout this experience that you can make this fun. The perk is you will be receiving a free Bow Love product and a special on a photography session and at least will have the option of purchasing some great pics of your own, but many things will determine what photos we use when and where. Obviously, the more effort and time you put into doing your best to assist us in aquiring good photos, the more perks you will have. The photographer, the scene, the turn around time of photos, how easy you are to work with will all have merritt in what bookings you will receive, how often you will receive free product, and the end result of the photo session.
Q:What happens if we do not have the photos done inthis timely manner?
A:We will be forced to do the standard agreement of this kind which is keep your cc on file so that we charge you for the product if you do not produce the photos. We are human and understand that things happen from time to time, but ask that you respect the agreement and if you are not able to do your part of the agreement , that you return the items right away in new condition as you were given. Just keep lines of communication open and understand that most of the time we ourselves are on deadlines and need to rebook the product if you can not do it.
Q: When do I start? I want to do this!
A: We are just now starting to double produce, meaning making an extra of most popular designs in order to offer this to our clients. PLease be patient and do not get discouraged if you are not contacted right away or often as there are many things happening behind the schenes and most of the time, Iwill know just who I want for what, but it just may be a piece that will take longer or I may want photographed outside or other reasons.
~Remember above all that you have a choice to particiapate in this page or not. If you dont like the way things are going, this may not be the nitch for you. PLease do not allow drama to make this page something negative. Most of you know by now that we work very hard and we are offering you this so that your loyalty can have perks. PLease keep it fun and make bookings an time to make your little girls feel extra special because she is. The moment WV and all of you embraced us, our business, ideas, and families, we knew we wanted to do all we could to thank you whenever possible. Hi Friends ~ This page was made because we love the photos that we get our littlest fans wearing our items. So much that we really want to use them for our web sites, etsy page, advertisements, and other other ways to show others how cute they make our things look.
Because we run most of our business on our facebook page, it is hard to have contests and giveaways with pictures being posted all the time so, we made this one.
By posting your photo on this page, you are not only agreeing to the fact that you have the legal rights to do so, but that we may use them in our advertising and web sites.
WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?
Well, prizes of course, we will give away a weekly prize to one girl that we thing captures our product in a way that will encourage others to want one for thier little girl. Even if your little girls is sporing a Bow Love originalor one of a kind, it still can be useful for us to show our quality and style.
Every week one girl will be chosen for 1st place and will receive a prize (that will be determined from week to week, but dont worry, we will make it cool) The top 2 photos of the week will then be entered into a montly contest for an even bigger prize.
Another great advantage to having her face shining with our product? We have been approached many times from other people, producers, business, that are interested in girls they have seen with our product on in pictures so, even though I can make promises, you never know when just the right person will see just the right face and become americas next top model.
We will also use this page and the will informthe participants here first of modeling jobs we hear of or know of or even need, we will also be letting moms know about local pageants and little tid bits that we learn along the way if this is a direction you are considering going with your beauty.
THE BLAH BLAH ON DETAILS THAT WE ALL HAVE TO READ......
1. ALL PHOTOS MUST BE YOURS TO POST, MEANING, YOU DIDN'T GO AND RIP A VERY HARD WORKING PHOTOGRAPHER OFF BY STEALING THE PICS, BUT DIDN'T PAY FOR THEM. (i KNOW YOU wouldn't do that, but I have to post it)
2. You must post photos of your childen or grand children, and if a photographer, you must have permission to post them from mom. (so, no going and photo shopping some of our product on to lady gaga and claiming its your kid~I know you would never do that, but I have to post it.
3. Our product must be in the photo, and if wearing a head piece or bow, the head piece or bow MUST be from Bow Love Hair Bows. We do not make as much clothing as bows and headbands , so if our head piece is photographed with clothing that is not ours that is ok, but just keep in mind, that we dont want people assuming something in the photo is ours, if its not. We take great pride in what we create and its just would feel funny (like having shoes on the wrong feet) if we had someone elses bows or headbands on our advertising pics.
4. Lastly, please make sure photos are clear phots, not pics of pics, or HUGe logos over them (although we are perfectly happy with a photographers logo being on a well taken picture to help show off their work, but just not the ones that are so big that our clients will be thinking "Hmmm, bet they stole that pic from a hard working photograher" when we use it.
