Executive Chef Michael Naessens is of Belgian heritage and spent many years living and working in Belgium and throughout Europe. As a result Eulogy reflects the best of the Provincies van België (Dutch province) and Provinces de Belgique (French province). In addition the influences of Gallic Wars by Roman proconsul Julius Caesar in 58 BC brought Italian flair to Belgium. The Army of Flanders (Spanish: Ejército de Flandes) was a multinational army in the service of the Habsburg kings of Spain that was based in Belgium during the 16th to 18th centuries. Our particular family heritage in the Brugge region was strongly influenced by the Spanish in Belgium. Belgium is indeed the melting pot of Europe and as such our recipes have a wide range of influences. We feel as a museum entrusted with preserving priceless works of art known as great craft beers. We apply a diligence you will find no where else in Philadelphia. We use glycol coolers, nitrogen generators and blenders, dedicated glass washers, weekly line cleaning, proper glassware, glass rinsers and well trained staff to serve perfection. Eulogy is a state of the art presentation of beers coupled with the only authentic Belgian ownership in Philadelphia and an executive chef trained at some of the finest schools and restaurants available. Campo’s Deli proudly serves three Philadelphia locations today. Our main store is mere steps from the blue line at 2nd and Market Street. In 1962, when Shank and Evelyn Perri opened their luncheonette in South Philly’s Italian Market, they had no idea their establishment would become a Philadelphia icon. Bangkok-born Chef Alex Boonphaya conceived the original Circles at 15th and Tasker Streets in South Philadelphia in 2009 with the goal of providing Philadelphia’s foodies with delicious, authentic dishes from his native Thailand. Spitalieri’s Italiano Ristorante, located at 613 E Passyunk Ave, is a quaint 40-seat dining destination, tucked away in the South Street Headhouse neighborhood. Mother and daughter duo, Jeannie and Joanna Spitalieri, along with nephew, Dante, have joined forces to satisfy a life-long ambition to create a restaurant environment and exquisite menu designed specifically around the family's perfected authentic recipes. The menu includes the Spitalieri’s interpretation of some traditional Sicilian Italian dishes, such as, Cheese Raviolio (with Italian meatball and Italian sausage in red tomato meat gravy), and a Chicken Cutlet Platter (lightly fried in a homemade breaded seasoning and served with seasonal vegetables), as well as original creations like, Gino’s bites (grilled filet, pickles, and garlic on a toasted baguette), and Grand Mom’s Eggplant Parmesan Sicilian Style. Located on the corner of Fourth and Bainbridge in the heart of Queen Village. Southwark was first opened in 2004 by Kip and Sheri Waide with a focus on classic cocktails and local ingredients. After over a decade of offering some of the city's best cocktails and most memorable dining experiences, the Waides sold their beloved restaurant to Chef Christopher D'Ambro and Marina de Oliveira. After a brief closure due to minor renovations, Southwark reopened in February of 2016 with the same dedication to the local food movement and spirit driven cocktails. Chris and Marina are thrilled to be carrying on such a wonderful tradition in this reimagined neighborhood favorite!
