In the 17th and 18th centuries, pubs were just as important for social as for practical reasons. People met in pubs to share stories, news, ideas, and company over their pints. Today’s craft brewing industry is increasingly local, providing a chance to renew the community gathering role that pubs played in our past. To that end, we are using local talent in every aspect of our business, from spent grain to art to tap handles to logo and t-shirt design; we will also make every effort to promote other local breweries and businesses. We will focus on producing small batches of technically-great, full-flavored ales that infuse pleasurable twists into classic styles… and sometimes blow style guidelines out of the water. It is also our intention to serve 4-5 categories of beer (I/IPA, Hoppy, Belgian, Malty, and Seasonal taps) but to continually rotate the specific beers served in each category so that we provide a new drinking pleasure on almost every visit. At Pleasure House Brewing, we thrive on the idea of staying connected to the people who drink our beer!
A taqueria is more than a place to enjoy a tasty taco, it's a great neighborhood spot to hangout and enjoy a deliciously crafted cocktail or a local beer. From our achiote chicken tacos to our smoked pork belly tacos, at Agave we strive to use fresh local ingredients and follow traditional cooking methods to create complex and authentic flavors. For us, the tortilla is similar to a hamburger bun in that it's really just a vessel for culinary creativity. Each week, we feature a new taco creation that utilizes seasonal ingredients. All of Agave’s specialty drinks are inspired by mixology, applying concepts from the artisan food movement to create craft cocktails. Our bar focuses on flavor, high quality ingredients and method for each and every drink we offer. From infusing our own tequilas to create new and exciting drink combinations to perfecting the traditional margarita, we focus on serving every guest the perfect cocktail. We also offer 11 craft beers on tap focusing on seasonal and local brews!
Originally a marina it has grown into what we know Bubba's as today, a Virginia Beach tradition and Shore Drive staple with the freshest seafood this area has to offer. Basic menu - consistently good. Walls covered with pictures of - what else? - Al! He makes the chili that you buy by the bowl himself - the best in town! Now they're serving fried pickles that have been missing from Shore Drive for a while. The" garbage burger" combines a chicken fillet and a hamburger. Ask 'em to add bacon and red pepper relish. It'll be all over your face! Best part - the iced tea is fresh brewed, not some machine stuff. Boar's Head dogs - best quality. Bring the kids. Heck, bring some homeless guy! Just come on!
