Kremwerk

1809 Minor Ave
Seattle, WA 98101

(206) 682-2935

"The small basement space on Minor Avenue has been open only since February, but it's already establishing itself as a crucial cog in the city's electronic-music scene. Kremwerk hit the ground running. In its first week, Austin--the venue's booker--scored future-bass star L-Vis 1990, and since then, he's brought in an excellent array of local and international talent, including Silent Servant, Santiago Salazar, Dreamweapon, Jimi Jaxon, Kode 9 and Raica. Now with a capacity of 231 with its newly installed patio, we help champion the scene's underground action. Kremwerk's interior fuses an industrial, bunkerlike atmosphere (exposed, rusted pipes and sprinkler, much concrete, steel, and wood, etc.) with a chic after-hours spot. It's dimly lit and low-ceilinged and sports excellent feng shui, with plenty of nooks and seating away from the dance floor. Several shellacked and sanded tree stumps serve as tables." - Dave Segal, The Stranger http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/kremwerk-and-the-family-stone/Content?oid=19830908

Noel House Programs, a program of Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington, is the largest provider of women-only shelter services in Seattle. Women's Referral Center coordinates emergency, overnight stays at shelters throughout Seattle and provides nightly meals and hygiene services. In 2015, the Women’s Referral Center provided 69,685 emergency shelter referrals. Through the Women’s Referral Center, women can access our Community-Based Shelters, which are hosted by six faith-based communities through Seattle. These include St. Mark’s Shelter (a staffed shelter welcoming 30 women) and five shelters hosted by volunteers at Bethany Community Church, Temple de Hirsch Sinai, St. John’s Catholic Church, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and Union Church. Through WRC, women can also access the Noel House Enhanced Shelter, which provides shelter for up to one year, with 24-hour access. By having access to a safe place to be around-the-clock, homeless women are better able to address health issues, focus on goals, and build relationships and support systems within the community. Case managers meet with the women at least once a month and staff include on-site nurse, chemical dependency counselor, and support groups. At the same location, Noel House Permanent Congregate Housing serves 20 women who have been homeless the longest and have the hardest time securing and maintaining traditional housing. Residents are able to access comprehensive services and therapeutic case management to assist them in stabilizing in housing and meeting individual goals. Noel House Programs also serves homeless families during the coldest months at the Eastside Winter Shelter for Families, a 50-guest shelter that serves families with minor children who have nowhere else to turn. The shelter welcomes male heads of households and other guardians and operates from October through May. Thank you for visiting. Please join us in creating a compassionate community that advocates for and provides essential services to women experiencing homelessness.
