The Gallatin Historical Society, founded in 1977, moved into two rooms in the county jail building in 1979. Built in 1911, the jail was already considered an historic structure. When prisoners were moved to new quarters in January 1982, the county commissioners granted the Society use of the entire building for the Pioneer Museum. In 2014 the membership voted in favor of changing the name to Gallatin History Museum to better reflect the collection and better serve the community. Since 1982, the Gallatin History Museum has offered a variety of changing exhibits portraying earlier days in the Gallatin Valley. GHM is also active with an ambitious outreach program, sending exhibits of photographs and artifacts to fairs, banks, schools, and conferences. Museum admission costs $5.00 per person, with school groups, members and children under 12 admitted without charge. An extensive research library and photographic archive are available, free of charge, to visitors during regular museum hours. Many of our historical photographs are available for purchase, along with the wonderful items in the museum bookstore.

201 S Wallace Ave, Ste A2
Bozeman, MT 59715

Ten years in the making, the Coldsmoke Awards has evolved in to a multifaceted platform aimed at strengthening the Winter Culture from the ground up. The Coldsmoke Platform was born out of a rapidly growing mountain community’s desire to showcase its expanding artistic talent and celebrate the culture around winter. It exists to cultivate, promote, and broadcast the ideas, imagery, and businesses flourishing within this mountain way of life. Along with fostering new talent and innovation, The Coldsmoke Platform prides itself on strengthening winter communities through partnerships with organizations dedicated to investing in the future of mountain society and focusing on local businesses. Winter Film Tour The Coldsmoke Winter Film Tour showcases a hand-crafted selection of films submitted to the Coldsmoke Awards. Films from action epics such as Jeremy Jones’ Further and Brain Farm’s The Art of Flight, to story based short films featuring people and communities of the Winter Culture grace the Coldsmoke screen. Audiences are dazzled with stories and images ranging from speed flying, to ice fishing with explosives, to the summit of a mid-winter expedition in the Himalaya. Coldsmoke Awards The Winter Film Tour culminates in Bozeman, Montana at the Coldsmoke Awards. This is a one night only live show where filmmakers, MC’s, athletes, and presenters coalesce on the Coldsmoke stage to celebrate the very best in winter film. Similar to the Academy Awards in format, this wild and zany awards ceremony celebrates imagery and talent with a vibe only the winter mountain culture can create. Live music, libations and festive mountain attire make this a true finale to Coldsmoke’s line of events. Online Participation Coldsmoke Online expands the reach of all things Coldsmoke, connecting filmmakers, athletes, artists and brands to audiences worldwide. Meat eaters, river fjord-ers, and hockey fans. Our favorite thing to do is work with our friends in rad places. We have an office near the sea, just a 16-hour road trip with your best bud from our headquarters in the great state of Montana. Breaker digital is a full service automotive and action sports digital content and commercial production company that creates, produces, edits and distributes award-winning content around the globe. Our work doesn’t stop there. We thrive in extreme conditions and high altitudes. Really high altitudes. Heck, we might be great in outer space (someday). After all, we are the Media Masters of the Universe…

Everyone's body composition is unique in how it moves through a motion. Adopting this philosophy allows each exercise to be designed to address patterns of imbalance. Giving a more balanced physique. This mindfulness can also aid in the prevention of future injuries. In my practice I combine the 5 principles of Pilates, along with traditional and non-traditional exercises to help tighten and tone the whole body. Utilizing the 5 principles allows for the proper execution of each exercise. This combination of breath, rib cage placement, shoulder stability, and head and neck alignment offers an opportunity to re-align the body and mind. Incorporating these same techniques in golf fitness is just as beneficial. For a golfer, muscle imbalances can affect the legs, hips, arms, shoulders, and lower back. It can also affect your game, from the weekend warrior to the avid golfer. Your drives may be shorter and less accurate, your stamina may decrease, and the potential for strains, pulls and tears become much higher. By strengthening the core of the body, the shoulder girdles and pelvis, you can improve hip rotation, range of motion in the shoulders and back stability leading to more powerful and accurate golf shots. This full body exercise works all muscles and is easy on the joints. The end result is a flexible, symmetrically muscled body that is strengthened from the inside out.
