A long-standing landmark on Main Street in Burlington, Nectar’s restaurant and bar has been the headquarters for thousands of local, regional and national music acts. From Phish to Grace Potter, from reggae to rock, Nectar’s Bar and Lounge is THE place to see live music in downtown Burlington. The building itself has a long history of entertaining. Originally a savings and loan, the building was purchased to create a two-story restaurant/lounge called the Hi-Hat. The chandelier that hangs over the main room today is a relic of the grand Hi-Hat. In 1975, Nector Rorris bought the building to create the infamous Nectar’s. The stage became legendary when a group of then-unknown local musicians known as Phish began to play regularly, sowing the seeds of their enormous following. Since then, the room has become Burlington’s preeminent live music lounge, and the home of what have got to be the world’s best gravy fries. In 2003 Nector sold the business to the present owners and in April of 2012 the present owners purchased the entire building making sure the future of this landmark live music institution has a long successful future! Mission Statement: We are so committed to our mission statement that we printed it on the back of our staff shirts for all the world to see! FRESH MUSIC SERVED DAILY!
At Bleu Northeast Seafood we aim to provide a warm, friendly and refined dining experience in a comfortable and modern setting. We celebrate the connection of Burlington and Lake Champlain to the sea by providing the finest quality regional seafood. While giving a nod to the French heritage of the lake’s namesake we draw influence from the St. Lawrence region well as the New England coast and the Canadian Maritimes. We work with small purveyors and fishermen to ensure the fish are caught or raised with the most sustainable practices possible. In true Vermont style we also work closely with area farmers and food producers to get the highest quality meat, produce, cheese, and baked goods.
The taco. Simple, but at the same time wonderfully complex. More than meat on a warm corn tortilla topped with salsa, onion and cilantro—the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It’s a marriage. A holy union of flavor. It challenges you. Small and fleeting, it can be gone in moments. But the experience is deep, a connection to something older than us, something bigger than our material world. You long to hold on, but to hold on would be to lose the experience completely. Come take a journey with us. Jump in and come out on the other side a different person.
Leunig's Bistro & Café is the popular, award winning restaurant bringing the panache of Paris and the value of Vermont into the heart of Downtown Burlington, Vermont.

Coffee is ultimately a living thing. It is a plant which reacts to, and is changed by, its environment. This means that each farm, in each growing region around the world will produce a coffee that is unique. In wine, this idea is referred to as "terroir", or "place". We rarely taste this in coffee because it is so often blended and roasted in a way that makes it all taste like, well, coffee. At Onyx Tonics our intention is to tease out the unique flavors of high quality coffees from around the world. We think you'll be surprised with the results. As coffee is a living thing, it has seasons. Our offerings will reflect this, and our coffee menu will change weekly. Our intention is to continue exploring coffee throughout the year. When we hit our stride, a customer should be able to have a different drink every time they come in.
At L'Amante we use local ingredients to interpret regional Italian dishes. The menu changes about every 5 weeks to take advantage of what is in season. We feature a 120 selection, Wine Spectator Award of Excellence wine list highlighting the best wines of Italy. Come in and enjoy a relaxed meal with friends, a celebration with family or a business dinner with clients. We are located a block and a half off of Church St. toward the water on the right hand side of the street.
Our culinary heritage is rooted in New York Jewish cooking and off-the-grid vegetarian cuisine and our food pays homage to these cultural traditions. Fresh challah and macaroons, chicken soup, hot brisket, and special holiday foods for Rosh Hashanah and the Passover Seder evoke food-laden memories of family and friends. Offered alongside are our fresh and hearty vegetarian and vegan combinations such as maple-glazed tofu, saag paneer, black bean coconut quinoa, and seitan red curry. It is our combined heritage, it is our spiritual and culinary joy, and it is unique to Stone Soup.
