ACADEMIA DE DANZA “PROFESIONALISMO Y VOCACION EN LA ENSEÑANZA” Es un proyecto desarrollado en base a la formacion artistica y cultural para ninos y jovenes,MESTIZO ART CENTER nace con la intencion de promover el estudio,practica e interes en las tradiciones dancisticas latinoamericanas,asi como obtener presencia en distintos espacios independientes y culturales creando enlaces creativos. Nuestro objetivo primordial es generar el respeto y amor por la danza al igual que fomentar el interes por las tradiciones folkloricas atraves de montajes de obras coreograficas e involucrando ninos y jovenes en actividades netamente culturales.

IMI Corona ES: - Un centro educativo alternativo abierto a tod@s sin importar su estatus legal, donde mezclamos el conocimiento creativo y el conocimiento práctico. - Un espacio de reflexión, debate y acción de pensador@s y filósof@s del pueblo para reimaginar el rol de l@s inmigrantes en la sociedad y cambiar las situaciones injustas. - Un laboratorio para práctica artivista, para experimentar con la mezcla del arte y activismo. Los VALORES de IMI Corona SON: - Promover la justicia social y el respeto a nuestros derechos a través de la educación y el arte. Creamos oportunidades para compartir nuestros conocimientos. Tod@s podemos ser educadores y tod@s podemos aprender. El ambiente educacional debe ser un ambiente de respeto y confianza; tod@s aprenderemos a nuestro ritmo sin crear ambientes de competencia. - Cuidar y cuestionar nuestra propia cultura. Reconocer el valor de nuestras tradiciones, y crear espacios para proteger y practicar nuestras tradiciones. Pero también reconocer prácticas opresivas en nuestra propia cultura y crear nuevas tradiciones que abran espacios para la diversidad de culturas en nuestra comunidad sin estereotipos. - Tener una cultura de unión, solidaridad y apoyo. Sabemos que somos diferentes pero podemos trabajar en grupo. Aceptamos críticas constructivas y somos bondados@s cuando hacemos críticas. En IMI Corona LUCHAMOS POR: - Escuchar y defender la dignidad de cada ser humano. Queremos crear un ambiente en el que los talentos de la gente tengan espacio de expresión para ser personas activas, que nos sepamos cuidar, escuchar y podamos hablar de nuestras opiniones sin miedo. - El acceso a la educación y salud de las personas migrantes y trabajadores en Corona y en Nueva York, y en solidaridad y hermandad con todas las nacionalidades, razas, identidades de género y sexualidad, que viven en nuestros barrios. - Crear comunidades fuertes que puedan defenderse y responder a la violencia y opresión que vivimos de maneras creativas y sanadoras. Nos reunimos para aprender y creemos que la política es una manera de actuar en grupo con conciencia de justicia colectiva y trabajo colaborativo. Creemos en la organización comunitaria como la forma en la que se lucha por la justicia social para l@s inmigrantes, las mujeres, l@s niñ@s, y l@s trabajador@s IMI Corona is: - A community center for alternative education open to all regardless of legal status, where we mix creative and practical knowledge. - A think-tank for reflection, debate and action by people’s philosophers to reimagine the role of immigrants in society and to change unjust situations. - A laboratory for artivist practices that merge arts and activism. IMI Corona’s VALUES ARE: - To promote social justice and respect for our rights through education and art. We create opportunities to share our knowledge. Everyone can be an educator, and everyone can learn. The educational space will be one of respect and trust; everyone will learn at their own pace without creating an atmosphere of competition. - To care for and question our own culture. To recognize the value of our traditions, and to create a space to protect and practice our traditions. But also, to recognize oppressive practices within our own culture and to create new traditions that open spaces for a diversity of cultures within our community without stereotyping. - To have a culture of unity, solidarity and support. We know that we are different, but we can work as a group. We accept constructive criticism and are kind when we critique. In IMI Corona we FIGHT FOR: - Listening and defending the dignity of each human being. We want to create a space where our can be expressed so that we can be active people, so that we can care for each other, listen to each other, and speak our opinions without fear. - Access to education and health for migrants and workers in Corona and in New York, in solidarity and comradeship with all nationalities, races, genders, and sexual identities that live in our neighborhoods. - The creation of strong communities that can defend themselves and respond to the violence and oppression that we experience in creative and healing ways. We come together to learn, and we believe that politics is a way of acting as a group with a collective social justice conscience and an ethos of collaborative work. We believe in community organizing as the way to fight for social justice for immigrants, women, youth and workers.
At “The Learning Tree S.T.E.M.-Arts School”. We believe the formula for cultivating brilliant minds is cooperative relationships among students, teachers and parents. Grades span Pre-K through eighth. Classes are small and enable teachers to obtain an intimate knowledge of and respond to each student’s strengths and weaknesses. In every classroom, on any day, the atmosphere is enthusiastic and active. All Learning Tree S.T.E.M.-Arts School students simultaneously study a minimum of two foreign languages and enjoy up-to-date resources for every activity in which they are engaged.
