In the year 1966, Gulfport East was built. The first graduate classes in Gulfport East were made in 1967. Then on the year 1978, both schools came together, forming the current school that we know today.AcademicsGulfport High School currently has the highest composite ACT score in the state of Mississippi, which is a 21. Students at Gulfport High School have the option to take Advanced Placement classes and also have access to career readiness programs, known as the Institutes.
