The Transfiguration of Christ Greek Orthodox Community is a parish community of the Eastern Orthodox Christian Faith located in Corona, NY (in the center of Queens). We are a member of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, under the spiritual leadership of His Eminence, Archbishop Demetrios of America. Our Archdiocese is under the spiritual guidance of His All-Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomeos I. Our community was founded by Greek immigrants in 1926, and we recently celebrated our 85th anniversary. We offer a full-range of liturgical, cultural, social, and educational programs. Most notably, a Greek School, offering free education, in the form of Greek language, religion, and folk dancing classes. Our parish is bilingual, worshipping in both Greek and English, with the desire to serve all members of the community.

To form each person through schools of laborers, leadership & Discipleship academies, that will make sons of the vision of the Kingdom of God and through that phase, help them discover the real purpose of God for their lives. Finally sending them as ambassadors of God with the power of the Holy Spirit in the proper representation.
