Visit Director Park in downtown Portland! Located in the heart of the city, Director Park is more than just a park or an event space, it's a Portland experience. Designed in the style of a European Piazza with movable cafe tables and chairs, it's a gathering place for the community, a theater to highlight arts and culture, and a space that emanates the best of what Portland has to offer! So bring a good book, a friend, your dog or just yourself and spend some time in the park, soak up the sun (hopefully!), wade in the fountain and just be! Art brings joy, inspires the mind, and unites communities. Art changes lives. As the 5th largest performing arts center in the U.S., we are national leaders in keeping art culture thriving. Our five venues draw over one million patrons to downtown Portland’s Cultural District and generate an average of $60 million in regional spending every year. With the help of Metro and the Metropolitan Exposition Recreation Commission, we are able to connect with the public to offer the performances that are most valuable to our community. The Portland'5 Box Office (1111 SW Broadway at Main St.- inside Antoinette Hatfield Hall) is open for in person ticket sales Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm and two hours prior to performances. Photo ID is required to pick up Will-Call tickets. Find out more about Portland'5, our resident arts organizations, and view the event calendar at http://www.portland5.com.

In 1984, Norman Winningstad surprised his wife for their 39th wedding anniversary by making a generous donation to Portland’5 that named the Dolores Winningstad Theatre in her honor. This courtyard-style theater is our most flexible performing space. With 304 seats, the seating and stage can be reconfigured in a variety of ways to allow for innovative staging and set design. Performances here can extend off the stage and into the balconies, and seats can be removed to create additional staging areas. In a sense, the whole room is a stage, and the audiences become part of the drama. The Dolores Winningstad Theatre is located inside Antoinette Hatfield Hall at 1111 SW Broadway, Portland, OR 97205.

Tables and chairs are available on a first come, first served basis, along with plenty of room to move around - dancing is highly encouraged. *In case of rain or extreme heat, Music on Main Street concerts will be held in the rotunda lobby of Antoinette Hatfield Hall, located next to Main Street at 1111 SW Broadway.
This five-day event always begins on the Wednesday following Thanksgiving. Hours run 11am-10pm Wednesday through Saturday and 11am to 5pm Sunday. Despite being held outdoors during one of the coldest months of the year, more than 14,000 festival attendees stay warm and dry over the five-day festival under clear-topped tents that cover the venue. Gas heaters create a cozy ambiance beneath the boughs of the region's largest decorated Christmas tree. In addition to beer and cider tasting, the festival also features meet the brewer events, a handcrafted soda garden, food vendors, cheese parings, a coat/bag check, a raffle, and an iClick photo booth from The Oregon Lottery. The festival offers a varied collection of offerings, from Belgians to barley wines, porters to winter warmers, and sour ales to stouts. What makes this festival standout from other similar events is the selection: the festival works with every brewery involved to make sure they send a beer or cider that has either been made or blended specifically for their fans at this event, or is a rare or vintage product that isn't commonly tapped in the state. The Holiday Ale Festival is for ages 21 and over. For more information, visit www.holidayale.com.

It’s easy! Just give us a call us or come by the MLK Worker Center when you are ready to start your project. One of our staff members will speak with you about what you need and get you set up with a worker who is qualified for the job. Looking for something specific? Give us a call a day ahead and we’ll arrange to get you the right person for the job. How much do I pay? The hourly wage starts at $12 per hour. Especially difficult jobs and projects that require greater skill level will be priced higher. We ask for a minimum of 4 hours of work per worker. If your project is too small to meet this minimum, please call us and we can negotiate a price. You pay the worker directly when the job is finished. We do not take any commission or fee. All of what you pay goes directly to the worker. Do I have to pick up the worker? Many of our workers have their own transportation and can also be sent via the bus or MAX. Still, the easiest way to hire workers is to come and pick them up at the Worker Center. Who are the workers? The day laborers at the MLK Jr Worker Center are men and women of all trades and experiences. They are workers who are committed members of our community and many of them are engaged in the leadership of our organization. Why hire through the Martin Luther King Jr. Worker Center? We are a non-commission hire site that assists both workers in finding decent jobs and employers in finding great workers. We provide interpretation between Spanish and English and make sure that each worker is qualified for the job. All of the day laborers who use the Worker Center have made a choice to contribute to the Portland community by seeking work in an organized, respectful manner.
