Recruiters School is a formal school charged with screening and training entry and career level Marine Corps enlisted personnel assigned to recruiting duty and career planner duties. All of the procedures, required actions and guidance contained within the standing operating procedures (SOP) are intended to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of personnel assigned to Recruiters School to accomplish the assigned mission.
Recruiters School is home to three seperate courses:
Basic Recruiter Course (BRC)
Career Recruiter Course (CRC)
Career Planner Course (CPC)

As the primary research arm of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, SSC Pacific supports basic research and prototype development, basic and applied science, extensive test and evaluation services, systems engineering and integration, installation and full spectrum life-cycle support of fielded systems. With world-wide connectivity and numerous partnerships with private industry and academia, SSC Pacific addresses warfighting requirements for Navy, Joint, National and Coalition war fighters.
Wake up to the Challenge!
On October 1, 2016 the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego will host the 12th Annual BootCamp Challenge, a 3-mile obstacle run. This unique race features obstacles used only by Marine Corps Recruits, plus over 60 USMC Drill Instructors that "encourage" participants along the race course. The BootCamp Challenge is a part of the annual schedule of events during San Diego's Fleet Week.

As a part of Semper Fit, we offer an abundant amount of recreational activity for all ages. From canoeing to sailing, we have a multitude of options for all Military personnel and DOD employees as well as their family and friends.

Looking to get a sailing permit? Upon successful completion of our sailing class the customer receives their sailing permit, which is accepted around the world at almost all military bases. Our classes cost $50 for two days and the sailing permit also allows the user full access to our motor boats. Please see our personnel for more information.
Throwing a party? Come on down to our pavilions! We have four different pavilions and party areas that can be rented for $25 a day. All guests of the authorized patrons are welcome; please see our personnel for more information.
