We are a bar that happens to have a bowling alley as well. We also happen to have live shows. We haven't had anyone get a 300 game yet. We will be 10 years old next year. Almost everyone who works here was born in NYC. One of us right here in Greenpoint. One of us was born in Hawaii though, and that's really far away. We have the greatest customers in the whole world. Some people think we are too dirty, but those people don't usually come back, and that's OK. We aren't for everyone. Maybe just the special people. People say we remind them of back home. Kind of strange that we all come from here, but we feel like somewhere over there. Maybe that's why we are all so happy to work here. I think we make you happy when you want to be home but can't get there. We hope so. We hope it also feels like NY, because we want it to feel like home for everyone. We may have had too much Smutty IPA and are rambling now. That beer is a high ABV. We know what that means now because we had to learn all about craft beers and stuff when we opened. It's pretty cool. Ask us about it sometime. Anyway, we're gonna get back to work. Maybe we will let someone else work tonight, we are drunk.

Deep Space is an adventure into future dub, spacey vibes, and abstract grooves featuring resident DJ François K. live on the mixing board. We are currently on hiatus and wrapped up our weekly party at Cielo in NYC. Starting December 21, Deep Space will evolve into a monthly party at club Output in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Our goal is to bring you a weekly party to share our love for a vast, under-appreciated musical direction, which has started to emerge on dance music’s cultural horizon. Dub has been present in popular music since its early 70’s Jamaican reggae roots, also filtering into dance music in later decades, but never widely acknowledged for what it is: a truly groundbreaking conceptual art form equal in significance to other giant aesthetic leaps such as Cubism or jazz. It abstracts the essence of music and allows its creator to redefine and reshape boundaries for what might otherwise be a predictable form of expression. We wish, through our Deep Space parties, to create a special welcoming atmosphere for those who appreciate music and dub. We will aim to show the countless links to dub's rich tradition by acknowledging its original creators, as well as celebrating it today by presenting more contemporary music of all types that share those spaced-out vibes. The music journey launches a Deep Space. Take the ride!

Williamsburg wasn’t always the super hip neighborhood it is today—it’s gone through some drastic changes in the last several years. Skateboarding isn’t one of those changes. People have been building skatespots in abandoned buildings, under highway overpasses and in vacant lots for years. KCDC is a new shop helping an old scene grow. KCDC opened somewhat off the beaten path of the neighborhood, in the fall of 2001 In addition to the shop, KCDC has gallery space and houses a mini-ramp. Art openings, video premieres, and other parties are held regularly in the space. These events help promote up and coming artists and companies in the skate industry. We’e accessible to all kinds of skaters. It doesn’t matter if you are young, old, male, female, beginner, lifer, pool, street, vert, downhill, slalom, tech, or hesh. We carry all varieties of skate gear, including fashions from local designers. KCDC doesn’t exist to give off heavy vibes; we just want to keep skating positive and keep people skating.
