The Progressive Integrated Martial Arts Academy's (PIMAA) facebook exist to express gratitude to PIMAA's sponsors and supporters and to share how and where their contribution is making a positive impact on PIMAA's development. PIMAA's facebook is also dedicated to its members and to acknowledge their individual and team achievements. PIMAA was established in 1987 and is a concept that focuses on mastery of body mechanics rather than being restricted to any given styles of hand to hand combat. Its guiding principles are simplicity, practicality and efficiency. It is designed to be progressive and to integrate combative disciplines in a positive, structured and challenging Academy environment. The mediums used to achieve mastery of body mechanics are, but not limited to grappling, throws, take downs, submission (chokes, arm/leg bars, strikes), stand up fighting, weaponry (blunt and bladed weapons), empty hand to hand combat, strength, conditioning and mental resiliency training. In closing, it is important to note that PIMAA was not developed in a vacuum. Its continual development and success is due to the fact that PIMAA stands on giant shoulders. PIMAA is grateful to all the coaches, trainers, teachers, practitioners, professionals and various individuals and teams that have or continue to influence PIMAA's development.
