The Green Dragon Tavern has a long and rich history, playing an important part in the freedom of Boston during the War of Independence. Established in 1654 The Green Dragon was a favorite haunt of Paul Revere (who we consider a close neighbor) and John Hancock (whose brother lived next door!). Indeed, it has been ratified by the famous historian Daniel Webster that it was in The Green Dragon that the plans for the invasion of Lexington and Concord were overheard, thus starting the famous ride of Paul Revere. Today The Green Dragon still plays host to a diverse and colorful clientele, though the practice of eavesdropping has long since stopped! With a full Lunch and Dinner Menu it is a popular eatery with visitors to Boston who enjoy dining in a working piece of History! With a full array of Irish-American fare and a wide choice of Traditional New England Seafood dishes The Green Dragon offers a choice for even the most discerning palate. Even with its long and noble history The Green Dragon is still a vibrant and thriving nightspot and is a firm favorite with college students and young professionals. Indeed the Green Dragon embodies the essence that is Boston City – the delicate blend of rich history and vibrant youthfulness! With a selection of Top 40’s cover bands playing each Thursday through Sunday you are always guaranteed a buzzing night at The Green Dragon!

The origin of Durgin-Park and it's typically Yankee recipes goes back to the pre-revolutionary days. In 1742 Peter Faneuil the topmost merchant in town, erected a large market house near the waterfront. Soon afterward, a warehouse was built which housed a small dining room that catered to market men, and the crews of ships anchored in Boston Harbor. Around 180 years ago, one of the customers, Eldridge Park, bought the restaurant with local merchants, John Durgin and John Chandler. Although both Mr. Durgin and Mr. Park died with in a few years of purchasing the restaurant, their partner retained their memory by naming it Durgin-Park. Mr. Chandler spent the next 63 years running Durgin-Park with his son and grandson, Jerry Chandler. When Jerry was killed in WWII, the restaurant was sold to James Hallett who put the poem "Just a Boy" on the back of the menu to honor Jerry and all the fallen soldiers of that war. It remains there to this day. James Hallett and his infamous staff of playfully short-tempered waitresses served the freshest fish, meats and produce one could find in Boston, not to mention the famous Boston Baked Beans. In 1976, he sold Durgin-Park to the Kelley/Solimondo family who toned down the waitresses to sassy, but continued the tradition of nothing but the freshest Yankee Fare that could be found in Boston.

Saus was started by three local university (Boston University, Northeastern) grads who were ousted from their company during the 2008 recession. With the help of their BU professor and a slew of supportive friends and family, they were able to fulfill a common dream - opening a casual eatery inspired by and drive by condiments.

For over 100 years, The Red Hat has been serving up the finest in food and beverages. Originally, catering to sailors on leave, dockworkers and shipbuilders looking for an inexpensive place to eat, The Red Hat soon became a local favorite to businessmen on their lunch hour and ladies doing their shopping for the week. Located in the heart of Scollay Square, an area once best known for its vaudeville theatre and world famous risqué entertainment, The Red Hat gained the reputation as a hotspot not to be missed while visiting the city. Because of that popularity, The Red Hat was even able to survive prohibition by maintaining the image of a reputable restaurant by day and a speakeasy by night. After more than a century, The Red Hat is still showing the city's finest a good time. We still serve up the finest food and beverages in the area. We still cater to sailors on leave, dockworkers, shipbuilders, businessmen and ladies. And, most of all we are still a hotspot not to be missed while visiting the city.
Boston is an enormously passionate city, spirited debate is practically our fifth major sport. While we may respectfully part ways on nearly everything, including that necktie of yours, public opinion is squarely behind the 21st Amendment. The 21st has elevated the "neighborhood pub" concept high above Beacon Hill by infusing our spin on traditional pub classics while carving out our own culinary history. When both locals and visitors are seen rubbing, okay, bending elbows in the same room, it's obvious that the quality of the food and the company has transcended party lines. Come spend some time with us at the 21st and see where Beacon Hill Meets!
