Fig Tree Café began in the fall of 2008 with owner Johan Engman’s simple mission rooted in the creation of an inviting and genuine dining experience. Since opening the first location in Pacific Beach, Fig Tree Café planted a second restaurant in the middle of San Diego’s Hillcrest neighborhood at 416 University Avenue. In Hillcrest, Fig Tree Café features an urban modern open kitchen concept, enabling patrons to observe the culinary action. The eatery is easily intimate with chameleon-like characteristics. It operates as an on-the-go spot for daytime diners serving the finest breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. Playing host to the Pacific Beach crowd, the original café inhabits an old cottage with a dog-friendly patio, surrounded by a garden-like setting just off the beach-goers’ beaten path. According to local lore, the flagship locale even includes an old putting green, left intact underneath the deck. The most recent branch sprouted in August 2013 in the Liberty Station development. Rustic wine barrels flank the indoor bar, made from wood which once supported stairs to the deck of Chef Alberto Morreale’s home. Dining al-fresco is enjoyable on a patio built for up to 50 of Point Loma’s finest folks. The mesh of necessity and creativity cultivates a warm vibe supported by honestly reclaimed décor. Each incarnation of Fig Tree Café is uniquely designed to fit the neighborhood niche and the three establishments share a commitment to using homegrown rosemary, selecting produce and eggs from a family farm in Ramona and giving back to their respective communities. Fig Tree Café’s menu presents diners with the depths of California’s culinary culture, serving authentic and mouthwatering dishes at reasonable neighborhood prices.

The Old Town Transit Center is an intermodal transportation station located in the Old Town neighborhood of San Diego, California. It is served by the San Diego Trolley, Coaster commuter rail, and Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner, as well as numerous San Diego Metropolitan Transit System bus lines.HistoryThe Old Town Transit Center was built in the early 1990s, and San Diego Trolley's North/South Line was extended here on June 16, 1996. In November 1997, the line, renamed the Blue Line, was extended into Mission Valley. When the Green Line service was introduced with the opening of the Mission Valley East extension on July 10, 2005, the Blue Line's northern terminus was pushed back to this station, which also served as the Green Line's western terminus. During a system redesign on September 2, 2012, as part of the Trolley Renewal Project, MTS extended the western terminus of the Green Line from this station to 12th & Imperial Bayside Terminal and shortened the Blue Line's northern terminus to America Plaza. The Special Event Line was eliminated; instead, the Green Line will add cars and offer more frequent service to Petco Park, San Diego Convention Center, Qualcomm Stadium and Viejas Arena at San Diego State University when necessary.

Allegro Bistro will be a moderately priced 110 seat restaurant offering Mediterranean style dishes. The idea is to make our customers feel like they have traveled the Mediterranean region and tried specialties from diverse countries, such as Italy, Greece, France, Spain, and Turkey. The dishes will be made using fresh and whenever possible local/ organic ingredients. Additionally, we will use high quality import ingredients to give the authentic flavor to the regional dishes. Most dishes will be served on a small to medium size platters with the idea that customers will mix and share various plates to try as many flavors as possible throughout their dining experience. All dishes will be reasonably priced without compromising the quality. The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast menu will differ from the lunch/dinner one and will consist of mostly traditional American breakfast items. All menus will be seasonal and provide sufficient options to people with various dietary needs, such as gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan. We are scheduled to open beginning of Mayl 2014.
