Founded in 1924, the Orlando Museum of Art is a 501(c)(3) educational institution whose mission reflects the continued growth of Florida, ardent community support for the arts and the OMA’s role as a leading cultural institution in the region. Since its inception, the Museum’s purpose has been to enrich the cultural life of Florida by providing excellence in the visual arts. To meet this objective, the Museum has dedicated itself to collecting, preserving and interpreting notable works of art; to presenting exhibitions of local, regional, national and international significance; to developing first-rate educational programs; and to presenting creative and inclusive programs to reach every segment of a diverse community. Annually, the Museum presents 10-12 exhibitions on-site and 13 exhibitions off-site, award-winning art enrichment programs, unlimited gallery tours, teacher professional development workshops, film programs, distinguished lectures, art appreciation lectures, studio classes, lecture/luncheon programs and outreach services in its facility and through outreach programs. The services benefit individuals, including visitors from all 67 counties in Florida, the other 49 states and numerous foreign countries. These programs are implemented by the OMA’s staff, its Board of Trustees and more than 700 volunteers, many of whom are part of its membership of 5,000 individuals.

BART is a family owned and operated bar, arcade and gallery run by Chris and Adrian Brown, located in the heart of the Mills50 District of Orlando. The formula is a perfect blend of finely crafted beers with a splash of local art, surrounded by classic arcade games from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. BART transports you away from the daily grind and back to the happiest places of your youth. “So, how did it all begin, and who’s BART?” you ask. It was a crisp clear evening in the not-so-distant past… wait, who are we kidding, it was probably raining… this is Orlando after all. Regardless of the weather, Chris and a few friends got together at a local watering hole and had the typical “you know what would be cool,” conversation. “What if there was a place to go where you could enjoy some of the best bottled beers on the planet and play some classic, stand-up arcade games?” The wheels kept turning for Chris—and, with help from his wife, Adrian—they began work on making BART a reality. This is the part in the story where we would give you an awesome 80’s movie montage all about BART’s build out, but someone forgot to hit record on the Betamax camera, so you’ll have to use your imagination. Now about our name. Back before any “you know what would be cool,” conversations, Chris had a dream to open a clean, comfortable bar. A place where, um… everyone knows your name?!? During the height of the art-bar movement Chris came up with a simple yet elegant name for his dream-bar. How great it would be to just combine Bar with Art… and boom, BART was born. What? You thought there would be something more mysterious to the name? Nah, we like to keep it easy, except for our classic video games section which is even harder than we remember. Come on Donkey Kong, please slow down your barrel rolls, sheesh! So there you have it, the beginning of a new place where friends get together and enjoy local art and classic video games, all while savoring the tasty perfection of craft brews.

We are in the "intersection of creativity and culture" the Mills 50 District. A great space, just off the main drag of Mills, a bungalow with a lot of versatility and positive energy ready to offer to anyone who walks in. We have multiple rooms available for anyone looking. We are open to various ideas, events, and services. You can teach your class, host your meditations, do healing, create with kids, dance and listen to music with your kids, use it for studio space, have events or parties, connect with old friends, share music, art shows, displays, sell your products, have workshops, do massages, reiki, yoga, have meetings for fundraisers, etc... Learn something new, share what you know, and love what you do giving complete dedication to you and those you are there to help, teach, share, and create with. You no longer have to worry about not having a comfortable, appropriate space, or finding a spot of your own. We are here so you can do what you love and are meant to do without the stress. True Serenity is located at 1100 Montana St. and looking to be open by the second week of December 2014. Our tentative hours are from 10am to 10pm but can vary upon request. For the most part when there's art shows, parties, and events we will stay open later if requested. We offer very flexible scheduling and affordable pricing for space rental. All prices include your own private room and /or an open classroom area, a shared waiting room for your clients, water, power, trash, internet, use of both bathrooms (one has a shower), use of the kitchen, a receptionist/greeter, furniture (depending on what you are renting the space for you may or may not need to bring additional), and an enclosed, beautiful, relaxing back yard. Catering and entertainment are available upon request. For those looking for a place to showcase their products and art, we have plenty of wall space as well as shelving, and display cases for you to set up and use. Everyone will also will be included in our marketing, however we are not the sole provider of each persons marketing. We will include you on our website and Facebook page. Also, we will have an online booking system for you to use to schedule what days and times you want the space for. In the future you will be able to schedule your customers appointments, however, as of now, you cannot. What you can experience may be different and unique from one person to the next. No matter race, religion, gender, or age we want to have something everyone wants to be apart of depending on what you are trying to accomplish and what you are looking for. The Gallery at Avalon Island is a contemporary art space that hosts exhibitions for established artists located downtown Orlando. The gallery also holds literary and film events and hosts musical performances. The gallery is housed in the historic Rogers building. The Queen Anne style building has stood since 1886. It is currently the oldest operational building in Orlando.
