Point Loma Sports Performance (PLSP) uses a sport-specific approach that's purpose is to develop each athlete to the best of his or her abilities. Our focus is to prevent injury by restoring function to the body, regardless of skill or level. PLSP strives to educate, coach and mentor each athlete through their development so that they unlock their true potential. Our training methods will develop overall strength, speed, agility, power production, postural awareness, mobility/stability patterns,kinematic sequences, and mental toughness. We train athletes of all ages ranging from middle school to the professional level. Our "team training" environment builds confidence and community for our athletes while still developing their individualistic and specific goals. Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.
