Park City Community Foundation helps people give back to the place they love. With our deep community knowledge and nonprofit expertise, we connect donors to organizations that are making a real difference in the greater Park City area. Our wide array of donor funds, grant programs and community initiatives provide opportunities for everyone to give in both deeply personal and truly collaborative ways. Together, we’re working to create an exceptionally caring community. And a truly extraordinary place to live, work and play.
Mountainlands Community Housing Trust (MCHT) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Founded in 1993, MCHT is based on the belief that a safe affordable home is often a family’s first step toward economic self-sufficiency. MCHT addresses the dual problems of housing affordability and availability on three fronts: acquisition and new construction of affordable housing, direct assistance in securing housing and needed basic services, and education and advocacy to promote housing policy.
For 29 years, the Park City Education Foundation has been working on behalf of Park City students by providing private dollars to fund critical and innovative educational programs. We’ve been your trusted resource for improving public education here in our district. Over almost three decades we have infused over $6 million dollars into our schools to fund programs such as Full-day Kindergarten, Afterschool Enrichment, and the Community Scholarship Program at the High School. Today, we are funding elementary art, music in grades K-12, math, science, technology, reading, gifted and talented, preschool and more. PCEF programs touch every school and nearly every student in our district. PCEF gives the opportunity to directly impact the quality of education in Park City. We make it possible for our community to invest in the futures of the 4500 students who attend Park City’s public schools. We ask for just $1 per school day, or $180 per student to make a difference that will last lifetimes. Will you join us?
KAC has been a pillar of our art community since 1976 when Bill Kimball humbly started the center in an old garage. As the Park City community has evolved through the years, KAC has mirrored its change, evolving into a world-class community art center and the city’s cultural hub. Admission to our museum to see world-class exhibitions has remained free since day one. Exhibitions provide local access to nationally renowned artists and works and include quarterly Art Talks and Gallery Tours. We also provide over 300 visual art classes to youth and adults each year, including welding, encaustic, painting, drawing, photography, stained glass and more in our studios. Our Arts Education Program partners with K-12 schools and bridges a critical gap to provide immersive and quality art classes to youth who would not receive an arts education in their school without our programming.
Being diagnosed with a genetic condition is unlike any other singular diagnosis. Patients turn to their doctors and medical web sites for clinical information. However, in between the major symptoms and prognoses lies a nebulous space full of uncertainty, and patients often struggle to find care and information that is inclusive of all their needs. www.HCCTakesGuts.org, along with our Facebook page are managed by, and for, those diagnosed with a hereditary colorectal cancer syndrome. Here patients will be supported by a community that includes survivors, medical specialists, dietitians, surgeons, researchers, therapists, family planners and alternative medical practitioners. Ultimately, our goal is that patients, along with their loved ones and medical care givers, will feel empowered. Together, they will be able to make informed decisions. They will read inspiring stories and interact with other survivors. They will be filled with hope, knowing that they can lead active, joyful lives and can in-turn inspire others to do the same.
