Concert Chorale is a choir open to the entire student body. It performs representative choral literature of all styles and periods. Traditionally, they perform a pops concert in the fall, a festival of lessons and carols in the winter, and a requiem in the spring. It is conducted by Dr. Sean Teets. The Liturgical Choir is an ensemble of twelve to thirty singers devoted to performing sacred music of all eras at masses and selected liturgies on campus and in the community throughout the academic year. Admission is granted by audition. It is conducted by Dr. Lara West. Opera Workshop is offered in the spring semester and is an opportunity for students to participate in either a portion of a larger opera or an operetta. It is a good way to experience classic opera literature in a performance setting. Admittance by audition. Chamber Singers is a small choral group open to students only by audition. They perform at numerous functions including commencement.
This is designed for students of HI 106 World Civilization since 1648, taught by Dr Everett Dague, Benedictine College.
The SIBC is a virtual passport for Benedictine College students to build real-world business & leadership experience that can't be obtained in the classroom. The SIBC also provides opportunties for domestic and international travel through leadership conferences and diverse business projects. Working under SIBC founder Frank Potenziani's guiding principle of "Peace Through Commerce", we believe that international commerce is a preferred means for faciliating positive change in the world - in other words, countries that do business together are less likely to engage in war. The SIBC is is not just for business majors and adds an international component to students’ lives, helping many find a higher life purpose than just "getting a job". You are invited to find out more about how to get involved with the SIBC by exploring our website and attending our monthly all-council meetings held on-campus. Stay tuned for exciting opportunities and updates and feel free to share your own ideas for possible projects. Thank you for visiting and we look forward to working with you to promote "Peace Through Commerce".
