The Department of Anthropology aspires to curate the best understood and most ethically held Anthropology Collection in North America. We seek to document and understand the human communities of the Rocky Mountain region and beyond through study of their material cultures while adhering to the guiding principles of respect, reciprocity, and dialogue. Through ethnology (the study of recent and living peoples) and archaeology (the study of ancient human culture) the department investigates human diversity in our rapidly transforming world and shares with the public the excitement of the discipline's art and science.
The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is the Rocky Mountain region’s leading resource for informal science education. As an education-based organization, we believe in the importance of open exchange and learning. In order to maintain a family friendly and respectful environment, we do moderate comments made on our social media networks. While most comments will remain posted if they are on-topic and not abusive, moderating decisions are subjective. We will make them as carefully and consistently as we can. We are dedicated to providing our visitors with a quality experience – whether it be online or at the Museum. Programming is gender-specific to meet the needs of high risk young ladies. We assist girls who have been referred to our program from the Denver Juvenile Court, Denver Probation, and Safe City Diversion. We combine classes in anger management/emotional stability, conflict resolution, life skills, and employment readiness with academic skill building and group mentoring to assist our participants in gaining control over their life circumstances. We serve girls primarily from lower income families so we offer our program at no cost to participants.
VOCI's focused approach is youth mainstreaming for the inclusion of youth in development at the community and city level.
NDHC produces affordable HOME-OWNERSHIP and RENTAL housing, provides services through counseling, case management and home rehabilitation to help improve the health and indoor air quality of homes.

BolderLife is an online and special event platform that celebrates and explores our journey through life via film, theatre, music, art and educational programming. Our topics and settings inspire our audience to question paradigms and explore new ways of thinking, communicating….and living. Ultimately, we seek to educate and inspire, promoting a more conscious approach to life, whether on a personal, community or global level. For filmmakers, artists and educators who have delved into the human journey, we provide a common platform for them to unite and showcase their work.
We offer prevention, intervention, and treatment programs grounded in trauma-informed care and the latest in brain-development research. Denver Children's Home services are available 24 hours a day, every day, regardless of ability to pay.

We are proud to be housed in the Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW) at the University of Denver. From here, we've dedicated ourselves to supporting system improvement locally, regionally, and nationally for over 20 years. The Director of the P₃F is Dr. Jeff Swigris from National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado. Other P₃F team members include patients with PF, nurses with expertise in caring for patients with PF, patient advocacy group representatives and PF support group leaders. P₃F was borne out of a desire to unite people who share the goals of expanding PF research opportunities to patients across the U.S.–not just those who live near subspecialty clinics–and to improving the lives of patients with this terrible disease. The backbone of P₃F is a confidential registry of patients with PF (and/or their caretakers or family members) who may wish to participate in research projects as they become available. More than that, though, P₃F creates a transparent, trustworthy environment in which members can share ideas, keep up with the progress and results of P₃F-related research, play a role in disseminating new information about PF and get answers from people with expertise in PF. Organizations like the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians–two of the largest medical associations in the U.S. dedicated to public education and scientific discovery in respiratory diseases–as well as various U.S. research funding organizations have finally recognized the importance of including “the patient’s perspective” in their programs. This means finding out from patients exactly which research questions to ask and drawing on patient input to design the studies that will yield the answers. You, the patient (and caregiver), are the experts here: you know better than anyone else what it’s like to live with pulmonary fibrosis. Join now and, whether you live next door to, or hundreds of miles away from, a medical center with expertise in PF, you can partner with other P₃F members to forge a new path to discovery for this disease.
Support groups: Our support groups are at the heart of the EDF program, providing safe places for those with eating disorders and their families to grow and to learn from one another. EDF’s support groups are offered on a drop-in basis and are free of charge. These groups not only have helped many who are touched by eating disorders, but also have served as a springboard from which lasting, supportive friendships have grown. Education and outreach: EDF’s efforts include age-specific presentations about body image and eating disorders given free of charge to schools and community organizations throughout Colorado. We exhibit at professional conferences and health fairs for school nurses, counselors, and coaches associations, to name a few. EDF also hosts networking & educational events for eating disorder treatment professionals in the community as a way for these dedicated professionals to connect to their peers, share resources and expertise. Mentorship: Our mentorship program matches qualified mentors with someone who is in need of a little extra help on their path to recovery. EDF mentors provide one-on-one support and act as a role model to their mentee, while encouraging recovery by using healthy coping strategies.
T.E.A.C.H. (Teacher Education and Compensation Helps) Early Childhood® provides college scholarships to early childhood education professionals to help them earn early childhood credentials and degrees. This program works to increase the education levels of Colorado’s child care professionals, reduce turnover in the child care field and increase child care wages. Research indicates that both higher education and specialized training in early childhood education are critical indicators of quality in a child’s early learning experience. Currently, T.E.A.C.H. programs are offered in 22 states throughout the country. Please Note: This particular program is open to Colorado residents only.
